  2. Yes, and many micro caches I found actually fit the "small" criteria as they can hold more than a couple bits of swag on top of the logbook. Another one that nobody seems to be able to agree on is the grey line between small and regular when using lock-and-lock containers just under a litre in volume. I've seen them go as both several times. I think more choices are not what's needed, but better descriptions and examples. Still, the "nano" category would deserve its own, as the market forces have come to realize it as. They are distinct cache types. The line between micro and nano I would propose is: If you have a strip of paper for the log, and you have to write names/dates next to each other horizontally, then roll it up side to side, it's a nano; If you can write logs in descending rows, then roll it up vertically, it's a micro. The problem is, on that scale of display, with a micro being a tiny box, what would a nano be represented as? A pixel?
  3. You too eh! Coffee table, makeup kit box, dresser and bathroom are a few more You guys missed my favorite spot the computer desk where I can examine them daily I like to say I'm organized, but they've been sitting in bubble wrap all over the place - I found one in the refrigerator afew days ago. It made the coin look cool - definite plus for display.

  7. TB123TE http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=575655 TB2EVA0 http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=1878292 Heh... more than half of all my activated geocoins (5 out of 8) are for Todie's Wild Ride. I know of no better cause to send a geocoin onward for.

  12. Messages en route! It is a good thing I have already bought my groceries, or I would starve.
  13. Still 30-odd coins yet to be delivered!
  14. Roddy, Here it is: TB1A6HB Thank you for the opportunity to take part in remembering, and spreading awareness, of those who are not with us anymore.
  15. That, and when you look at the 100s of silly coins you have lying around, you begin to see how much you have invested into coins... At least they hold their value better than stocks. I keep a spreadsheet of the coins I bought, how much I paid for them, where they came from... and I have spent $600 in the past 3 weeks since I began looking at geocoins. Being in Canada, 95% of them come from overseas. (Mostly USA, some Germany) The Canadian Dollar plummeting puts the breaks on my obsession, but it does mean that Landsharkz coins will be cheaper for you guys down south.
  16. Other implements, like nitrile gloves, string, and a camera for letting the owner see the condition of the cache, are in the backpack. So far, the only thing I've had to do in the way of maintenance is sharpen pencils, replace torn ziplocs, and clean up after humans. Any major repair needed would first be flagged online; most of the more in-depth items in my toolkit are for my future caches (I haven't placed any yet, but am preparing for operation massive owl).

  18. Now that you remind me, I had complete glossed over my 3rd, and 31st, find. I guess I should look forward to my 314th find.
  19. I have only come across one laminated xerox so far. It stated that the original coin went MIA but the owner still desired for it to travel, even if only virtually - so be it, and it was sent on its way. They live like ghosts - a p-KIA geocoin that still wishes to travel the world. But even ghosts should not be denied their purpose if what they bring to the table is better than nothing at all - an icon, stories of a journey, and a satisfaction of helping someone and his/her little trinket. I think it definitely is better. It allows very valuable coins, like LE ones, to venture "into the wild", in a slightly more tangible, and slightly more fun way than a piece of paper. I just bought a pack of them for future use; thanks for the link!
  20. Launching undisclosed quantity of digits through cyberspace in your general direction. Your account has been declared a hard-hat area. For your own safety, please don a helmet, boots, and swimming implements.
  21. And for yet another coin I have poked you thus. The shipping and receiving centre is getting edgy with me stalking them everyday. "Just wait," I said, "when it rains, it pours."
  22. Rrah. I just spent $50+ on EBay for the final coin needed to fill my heart's desire. I have a complete dragon spinner set mustered for $240! I know of no other set of geocoins sells for or costs that much. Or maybe I have been cheated on a couple of them.. But between that, unemployment, and a cycling trip to Calgary to do some caching, I feel so broke. No more Ebay for me. My collection I only started last week, but now it is as complete as I will let it get for the year. Maybe having an unfulfilled desire remain unfulfilled, if it will have an unsustainable cost, would be a good thing..
