  1. Since Mom hasn't posted this yet I will. The REAL Santa Clause
  2. I'd love to join in on this. Like others, I have no idea how it works but it'll be fun to try!
  3. I would love to adopt one if any are still available. Thanks for the offer!!
  4. If our recipients plan to open these for Christmas they'll have to use some major self control since our missions are going out in the mail tomorrow! If I wait to mail them I'll end up losing them myself. StarWarsCam and I had a lot of fun putting these together but not so much fun trying to figure out how to fit everything in the boxes... But we finally figured it out and the boxes are bursting at the seams! For whomever got my name: My seeking list is seriously out of date but I love all coins so anything you send will be wonderful!

  6. You've got two Look Twice Coins on the way in the same Green(the RE)...that color was inspired by your Pathtags!! I remember looking at that green color!! It does look great on the finished coin! I just got them today and they look awesome!! Thanks so much!
  7. Those look awesome Robert, the special colors are great! I loved seeing the regular one you sent for me to start for you. It's still here in the cache I placed it in but if it doesn't move soon I'll run up and get it since it's a somewhat remote cache. I wouldn't want it to be stranded for the winter!
  8. I was against PMO caches until I started having some major problems with TB's and coins coming up missing out of one of my TB Hotels. I decided to change it to PMO and change the combination to the lock to see if it helped. In the several months since I changed it, not a single coin or TB has come up missing. For a non TB Hotel though I still don't agree with PMO.

  12. Jeff Gordon Kurt Busch Jimmie Johnson Thanks for the cointest!!
  13. Message on its way! what Broken W said From me too!
  14. Fun cointest, I love taking photos and looking at those taken by others! Here are some of my favorites that I've taken in the past couple of years. My husband and son My Sheltie Glacier National Park in an area that burned many years ago The neighbors horse Shadowed moon A couple of years ago I was in a photography group that had a different assignment each week. One Sunday my family and I were going for a drive and I had in mind that the assignment for that week was "Forever Friends". As we headed down the highway I spotted this and knew it had to be my submission for the assignment. There was a lot of reaction to my submission, not all of it good, but I felt it fit the assignment perfectly.

Mission Complete - 9/29/09 4. Mission Arrived! - YES! 10/21/09 The pups saw me walk in with a mission package and lunch, they couldn't decide what they wanted more! As I opened the mission package they were wiggling all over and every time a new toy or treat would come out they'd wiggle that much more! There were lots of yummy treats, some great squeaky toys, and a couple of tennis balls. Plus 3 great coins, a skull coin, a Potato Racer, and a Sparticus06 ASP GPS. All of this was packed inside a really cute bright green pumpkin basket that I forgot to put in the picture! I was only able to get a couple of cruddy cell phone pics but many thanks to Sparticus06 for the great mission, the dogs have thoroughly enjoyed the treats and are having a blast with the toys!
  16. I don't know about how thoughts like mine will affect the future of what is produced but it does affect my buying habits. My collection has a huge diversity. It contains a lot of coins I merely like but there are a fair number of them that I truly love for one reason or another. Here are some of the reasons why. I don't really have a preference for size/shape of coin or color/all metal (although I'm not usually a huge fan of glitter/glow). What I do find myself most drawn to are coins with a deeper message, whether that is brought about in the design itself, the story behind the coin, or the saying on the coin. I haven't been collecting coins that long but one of my very first coin purchases was the Family Suncatcher. The design on that coin wasn't my favorite but the saying on it really spoke to me and that made it a must have. Kathy's Coin was one that had a very touching meaning without it being explained on the coin itself. I'm not generally "into" the whole oriental symbolism thing but on this particular coin it had so much meaning that it was another must have. Alternately, there have been a few really cool looking coins that I didn't care for the saying that was on them and I just can't bring myself to add one to my collection. There's even one out there that I love everything except the font used and because of that I won't buy it either. Sometimes it's the feel of a particular coin. I was out caching one day and ran across a Good Karma Bad Karma coin in a cache. I pulled it out of the flip to look at it closer and as soon as I did I knew I had to have one of those in my collection. The coin should have felt no different than any other 1.75" round coin but for some reason it did. I spent the next 2 months trying to find one! Another one that affected me this way was the 5th Anniversary Compass Rose. I didn't order one but a friend of mine did. When he got it he wasn't thrilled but he brought it over to show me. I took it out of the box and as soon as it hit my hand I told him I wanted it. I recently traded for another version of it and was affected the same way. Sometimes a coin will bring back a fond memory. Guardians of the Night was announced shortly after I had an experience with an owl watching me hunt for a cache. The memory was so peaceful (even though I DNF'd the cache!) that the coin was a must have. I love all coins with trains because trains make me think of my grandpa. I've always loved horses and aviation so those themes appeal to me too. Sometimes even I can't explain why I'm drawn to a particular coin. For the most part I'm less drawn to personal coins. They can be neat and I do have some but unless I know the person who created them it's just a name. Like everyone else, I do have my favorite designers but even there I won't add a coin to my collection just because it was designed by a certain person. As for where I think/hope the future of geocoins is headed, I don't know. I like that this hobby has so much variation and truly allows people to be as creative as they want.

  18. I may have to get serious about hiding some caches in Whitefish when you make the move! I have a couple of micros there now but will have to explore a bit and find places for some bigger ones.

  20. 1. Participating Adult Mission - yes! 2. Received Name- 9/28/09 3. Mission Complete - 9/29/09 4. Mission Arrived - YES! 10/14/09 The mailman arrived with a special treat all the way from Germany today! I have no patience so waiting until closer to Halloween just wasn't going to happen, I had to open it immediately! Inside I found a whole box full of the yummiest looking sweets! Almost all of it is chocolate too so I'm in heaven! There was even a little pack of Nutella To Go (would you believe I've never tried Nutella!) that I can't wait to try. In addition to all of the yummy stuff there is a hilarious little dancing Frankenstein, I wound him up and my son and I burst out laughing when he started be-bopping across the table! And a really cute little ceramic pumpkin tealight holder which fits perfectly in my pottery cabinet. There were not two but four coins and all of them are absolutely perfect! A .pure color which just happens to be my absolute favorite coin color of green/antique copper, a D.E.A.D. coin which is super cool in person, an XLE star coin that is too cute, and a red/copper Musketeer which was on my top 5 list! Thanks so much Chur for such a fun mission! Most of the time my dogs ignore me when I'm opening packages but I think they've learned the word "mission" and know that I often sign them up too so today they absolutely wouldn't leave me alone. I kept having to explain that this was a mom mission and they would get theirs later. Apparently they have no patience either! 1. Participating Pet Mission- yes! 2. Received Name- 9/28/09 3. Mission Complete - 9/29/09 4. Mission Arrived!
