There will be a 1000 cache celebration at a Southeast Texas geocachers meeting. I said we should do that for any cacher who reaches that milestone and that my suggestion had nothing whatsoever to do with my being closer to that number than anyone else

Thanks for all the comments everyone! Moving was not an easy decision for me to make. I remember the day I found my very first cache Bridges To Nowhere, had to reread the book twice since I insisted on loading the waypoint instead of the cords! Its been fun here in Tennessee but this Texan is homesick and ready to go home! Before I go, a quote from one of my favourite actors...I'll be back!

Had me scared too! I'll be thinking about you tomorrow while I'm in Franklin, Tenn caching and helping CCCooper celebrate her 3000th find!

A lifetime supply of AA batteries! -
The most I have ever found in a day, by myself, was 42 on July 5,2003. Left Memphis at 3am, found first cache at 6:30am near Nashville ( Thanks Southpaw! It was one of yours!) arrived back in Memphis at 8:00pm. May have found more but I hate caching in the rain! I'm not waterproof!

I will be there to help look. I can go to Nashville on Sunday! You sure about 8:30am Bitbrain?

I will always remember my first find."Bridges To Nowhere" is archived now. I didn't know the difference between waypoints and cords, finally figured out how to load the cords and ended up in a section of Memphis not far from my apartment. After 422 finds and 23 caches placed, I stiil get the same thrill as I did on that first hunt!

I leave a micro-cache (35mm) container.
