Just found this topic:( I wen thome from GW4 with lots of great memories and NO golfballs:) A few things I remember 1. Being called an Old timer by Team 360:) 2. Winning a OCB coin and pin set:) 3. Seeing my old friends and makinf new ones:) 4. Driving back to Houston with NO golfballs:) May wish I had stayed in Afghanistan when I see carleenp again:)

Bought my first GPS, a Garmin 12, in August 2001 when I started geocaching.That one lasted untill January 2005 when it decided to quit working. I was in Central London and rushed to a shop on Tottenham Court Road(spell check!) and bought an Etrex Venture( Dont want to remember how much it cost me either!) Still using that Eterx too!

I lik eto start my caching day with enough strong coffee to give me the shakes, that way I dont get hungry and have to stop for useless things like eating

Bought a NAVSTAR Geocoin at GW4, very pleased with this one! Took a few minutes to explain about NAVSTAR to my parents after they looked at it:)

I have a GeoPirat coin that says its trackable on gc.com but dont know how to activate it. May have to wait till he gets back home!

This post probably wont make a difference but......Mega Event status was NOT confirmed for GW4 untill JoGps gave the welcoming speech just before the evening meal was served at 5:30PM. I was there and there were over 500 in attendance!

WOOT!WOOT!WOOT! This will be my 2nd geowoodstock, attended GW2 in Nashville where carleenp was collecting all those dirty golfballs(Who caused that?) I plan to leave work at midnight and drive to Cedar Hills Park so if anyone sees a white mirage with a sleeping security guard there, WAKE ME UP!!! PLEASE!!! You will be able to find me helping at the travel bug table or should I say dumptruck cause there will be HUNDREDS there! Bring all your dirty golfballs unto me, have an idea for a travel bug to send to carleenp since she was such a good sport about them at GW2

Don't forget "Past the Dumpsters" that 's the best part!!! I can still remember delivering BBQ sauce in a bob truck into that alley and past those dumpsters[]

Same thing has been going on here in Texas. Was out the other day showing a neighbor my GPS and he asked if 4 feet accuracy was normal! Had to tell him No, usually no better than 10-14 feet.
