I heard back from garmin, they said it was defective and I had to send it in. I hate to do this, I just got the dam thing.

I just tried something different. I downloaded a waypoint from the computer as the start of a route, Now as long as I use that route that is already set-up I can add waypoints on to it no problem. It's just when I try starting a new route from within the gps. I hate to send it in already, I've only had it 2 days. I've got an e-mail ito garmin we'll see what they say. anyone know how quick they get back to you?

sorry, I was trying to add a waypoint to a route, when I select a waypoint and click on use at the bottom of the screen, the gps turns off. I've tried it several times using different waypoints and it always does the same thing, but a couple of times it said software missing before it turned off. I then have to turn the unit back on. Any ideas.

I tried setting up a route in my 60c, I was just testing it out. I chose a geocache and tried to add it to the route and it turned off and software missing. Do I need the mapping software to use this feature(which is coming in the mail) or is it a glitch in the gps.
