  1. I'll be happy to document that part better on my page if someone has a suggestion. I think it's probably pretty easy. it is the series of numbers and letters after the letters "guid=" that appear in the box that gc.com provides on their stat bar page. I just highlighted everything after "guid=" to the close quotes, and apparently I guessed correctly.
  2. If you are refering to Capt. McHarry's vault, I asume you will be going on Saturday after the breakfast? Hopefully I will attempt that one sometime this weekend, (or early next week), but would like to do it for my 1000th. But I need quite a few before that! I was going to make it my 1100th...but the cold weather put the kibosh on that. it will now be 1082! Cool Doug! thanks!
  3. I am not very good at caching in the snow. I admit to utilizing some one ELSE's tracks, tho!
  4. I ended up saving a static image of the bar to my photobucket, and uploading that. I was able to create a LINK to my profile, but they had to be seperate.
  5. anyone out caching in 6+" of snow? I know I'm not...
  6. hey, Doug! Are we all still on for doing Capt. McHarry's after breakfast?
  7. GM... Do you have proof that this was going on?
  8. I changed my email addy for gc.com to my msn account...and I am STILL missing numerous owner notifications. I have no clue about watchlist or new caches...but at least 3 owner notes never made it to me.
  9. Well, I need directions to some where, a cache event site...and OF COURSE.....
  10. uh-oh... I think I just got a "clue" regarding H-A-T's next hide!
  11. The best answer to "What is a Pathtag?" would be to look at their site, www.pathtags.com . They are small metal tags individual to each cacher, similar to geocoins but more affordable. Not trackable at geocaching.com, but on the site, if the serial number is entered, there either is, or will be soon, a way to see who has your pathtag. Kind of like a "6 degrees of seperation" concept. I have left a few of mine in caches, just as a way for the finder to say "Hey, I found one of 4leafclover's caches!" They can be treated as trade items or sig items. There is no need to move it on to another cache. Consider it a "sig card", but in a different form.
  12. Thanks, Jen. I will have to check them out!
  13. Here's one of the threads referenced by Keystone.
  14. I don't think gmail is the problem at all. What you have is a high percentage of people who *happen* to use it because of its storage capabilities. Apparently, it is a gc.com issue, and is being looked into....
  15. for me, I notice that it goes back as far as the 20th of January...possibly as far as the 17th.
  16. once again...same cache was found, but I never got the notification.
  17. If the surveyor's office comes through in time, you'd be welcome to the next benchmark that crosses the desk.
  18. there is actually room under lamp post covers for a decent sized container
  19. we actually got "white death" yesterday
  20. can you SEE the mark through the top layer of pavement? is it possible it was removed before the paving was done? Or was the lot "re-surfaced" and the mark still visible?
