Hey, Emu... do you find it funny that a KY cacher STARTED the OHIO thread?? any way...I'll be passing through Louisville very early Thursday morning, then again late afternoon/early evening Friday, if you wanted to get together for a quick cache or so.

I was going to state that the "other" KY reviewer has approval procedures nearly identical to yours. NAd those seem to work well, I might add....

I just received a boatload of emails, including notification that 2 caches had been published. I got these notifications AFTER I had found said caches.... kind of like a blockage was...um...unblocked, or somehting?

I bookmarked all of mine. When I created the bookmark list, I simply had to go back and rely on my own memory, and from there, I put the cache on my bookmark list as soon as I log it. I think, luckily, I remembered all of them...

once again...I am getting neither owner notifications, nor am I getting publication notifications. I made a test log on one of my own caches, and received nothing. I also know of several new ones that popped up over the weekend, that I did not receive notification on. This is an ongoing issue.

Thank you, Vinny. Interestingly enough, earlier this evening, I did exactly what you have suggested here...joined MGS. I posted something in "caching partners". I selected the closest caches to my hotel/interview. I don't think I'll have much time for good hikes (like I prefer), so for the time being, I'll have to do whatever is available, and I end up having time for. In fact, I am far more interested in meeting some one (rather than strictly for caching...) familiar with the area, who might be able to offer suggestions re: schools, neighborhoods, etc.

I will be in Owings Mills on Thursday and Friday, with perhaps some free time Thursday Evening, and perhaps early Friday. Of course I plan to hit a few caches, but if there is anyone familiar with the area, I would love a tour guide/some one whose brain I can pick. Thanks in advance. Katie

I am SO excited for a friend of mine. I have been posting with Mark (From Buffalo NY) on various boards for almost 5 years, and when I told him about geocaching, he always thought it sounded so neat. Well, he finally finagled an etrex from his dad, and we have been going over cache pages to see what ones near him would be good to start with. Today, he and his wife found their first two caches tonight!!!! Strol, keep 'em coming in that area. I have looked in at this zip a couple times over the last couple years, and I am so glad to see more than 1 or two that TT can go after. Thanks, too, to beckzoo. I haven't heard the details yet, but I had a yahoo offliner confirmer their finds as well. I am SO happy!

once you log into your paypal account, you should have a tab (somewhere) called "subscriptions. (I can't find mine right now, probably because I canceled my only one, Groundspeak also). Anyway, there should then be a link to cancel it.

Wimp! You MUST camp!!!! Call Carleen & I wimps....we booked a room at the hotel next-door. Warm showers and A/C...ahh.... I'll be in the hotel too Booked my room yesterday. It's only for sleeping and showering though. Or for Ben and I to barricade ourselves in if the going gets really tough. Incidentally, we have a group rate at the hotel so if you did not tell them you are with MWGB, call 'em back for a discount. I think it's like $15 or $20 a night. Not shabby. the discout, or the price of the room, being 20 bucks?

One of our caching friends invited us to ride on their trailer in yesterday's St. Patrick's day Parade. (Cincinnati) A very sweet thing happened. The co-worker of one of the people on the trailer proposed to his girlfriend via the float. when we approached where they were sitting, 5 of his friends held up signs asking her to marry him. He walked her out onto the street, got down on one knee, and waited for her answer. She did say yes.
