Well that is interesting that your problem wasn't solved by swapping the joystick board. MIne just doesn't let me choose something like pressing staright down. I can figured it was a small switch that wasn't working. I will look further into my unit tonight. thanks for the heads up.

Hello I want to buy a Etrex unit that has the Toggle button that still works. My units button doesn't work so I can't choose anything in the menu's. Garmin won't sell the small PC board to me and wants to charge me $150 for a 3$ part.
