I want to add a third point : While walking, several players complained about the fact that the next zone(s) didn't appear in time when accomplished a task. I activated the zones after a correct answer an an input, so not on exiting a zone or something else. Sometimes they walked 150m further and then it appeared.

Point 1 solved : deleted some HTML code

For an mega-event in Belgium I made a Wherigo cartridge ( Shot at dawn ). Now I have some problems. 1. I cannot activate it on the Wherigo site : it always returns an error when I'm checking the activition choice. 2. I made it availbalble on a local website for the event. Now I have problems with de unlock ( completion ) codes of those people who walked the complete cartridge. How can I help them to log on Wherigo.com ?

Another consideration on distance would be your ability to maintain the stage. Even virtual stages need maintenance, an ability by the cache owner to visit and determine if conditions have changed. http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#maint I've read this too. As we plan to hide this cache by a team of which the members live all over this area, and seen the fact that we are a little bit hard die cachers ( several 1K and 2K cachers ) who have this area as 'working filed' this may not be the problem.

No prob. You're just saying what I tought and I understood it very well But ... We have received some remarks of a reviewer that this isn't done anymore. As we cannot refer to existing caches to obtain an approval for a project, I was wandering if there where other distances that must be considered when hiding a cache. As far as I see now, there are none except those above ?

Even not physical. Suppose some trip, that You can do easily with public transportation along a touristic place. Eg : the Belgian coast is 67 km long and is very easy to visit by tramway ( touristic tip anyhow ), You can leave the tramway on each waypoint.

In the guidelines there are several distances mentioned : A. 1-2 miles for puzzle caches (mystery-caches ) maximium distance between bogus and final cache B. 0.1 mile for cache saturation ( physical stages of multicaches and mysteries and "other" stages of multicache C. 150 ft for for active railroad tracks ( US ) D. 0.1 mile for an optional and simple task Now I have some questions : - is there somewhere a maximum distance for physical waypoints witin a single multi ? Can You have for example 10 ( interesting to visit ) waypoints ( with physical tag or so ) within a distance of 100 miles ? - is there also somewhere a maximum distance between the starting coordinates of a multi and the final cache ? - are there other distances to consider ? I can't find an answer in the guidelines. I have the feeling that some thumb rules are used by reviewers, but how can a cache-hider know about these things ? It all looks a little bit arbitrary ....

The location field in the old configuration can now be found back in the Mailing Address fields. Those don't appear on the public profile. But as I wanted the Location Field in the Profile Details still showing up my hometown, I tried to add the city to it. It doesn't work. I get the message : The first name must be between 1 and 32 characters long. And : The last name must be between 2 and 32 characters long. Altough I didn't change my name, and it is between 2 and 32 characters ....

A geocoin event took place this weekend where all the local cachers could receive their coins. During next week all other shipments will be done. The coin is better than the picture

Sold out !!!!!

Just some extra info : - this is a "country" coin, from the only and sole national organisation of geocachers around there. So no personal coin nor small organisation. - Mercator, in fact the grandfather of the GPS, was born here, lived here and studied here. See the explanatory page - the latin on the coin is nothing else than the title of his main work : an atlas of 21 maps of 1596. "Ad usum navigantium" means : to use for navigation ( on sea ). And that's what we do with our GPS, isn't it ? - and the coins are going fast .... I myself ordered some for trade purposes. They will be handed over for the first time on a geocoin event on June 24th & 25th

They arrived here in Belgium ( Europe ) yesterday. But when activating one of them I can't see a proper icon ???????

I always change the original DNF to a find and ADD a date to it ( of the old DNF ) AND I add a text ( with the date ) explaining the new find. This has the advantage that everybody sees the two logs together and when querying the real DNF ( this is, those you still have to go for ), I don' t get those I found afterwards. In this way I think i'm honest to everybody. As long as I cahche hasn't been found after I started a search, there will be a DNF, giving the information to te owner and other fellow-cacher why I didn't find it. It is important information. But the information, after finding it and changing the status, is normally outdated then ( cache is still there, there's no fault, conditions changed, ... )

I don't know about geocaches in Hong Kong but I do know about a starting TB Race over there. And indeed in Tram Peak. They're just released over there. When do You pass there ? In Tram Peak 16 TB from Belgium are wating for a trip back to Europe. Mine, Big Bird Merel is one of them. Feel free to go to Tram Peak and free them ( or at least mine ). The race page on the Belgian site ( www.geocaching.be ) is in preparation.
