  1. I found an interesting TB. It is called Shad's School of Fish and the story asks that everyone who finds it add a fish to the line. It also asks that each fish have some sort of tag with the cachers name that left it. I liked this idea and will keep it on my watch list. 2. I know that this has nothing to do with the topic, but I am looking for some help from a cacher in North Carolina. The Travelin' Cache is in the Nantahala National Forest. It is a cache that moves everytime someone finds it. For more information on how it works you can read on the cache page. Anyways, the cache has gone idle and I was wondering if someone would want to help it on its way. Thanks. 3. On 2/10/2002 a cache was started in Wisconsin that travels from place to place. I will save the details, if you are interested you can view it here. Anyways, the point of my message it to ask for some help. The cache was placed in its current location on January 1st. Since then it has not been moved. If anyone would be interested in moving it I would really appreciate it. 4. Sorry to everyone who has been watching this cache. I was without an internet connection for the last couple of days. I have updated the page so everything should be right now. Thanks for all of the replys!
  5. There is a cache that we started in Wisconsin, it is called the Travelin' Cache. The last time it was found was in July. It has been at its present location since 8/14/02. If anyone is in the mood to help this cache on its way we would really appreciate it. Thank you. [This message was edited by Team Rusch on September 06, 2002 at 02:05 PM.]
  6. I can only speak for myself but I am a member of Team Rusch. This consists of my brother, myself. We do live in different towns but in the same state. The majority of our finds are done together, however we have logged some that were found when only one of us was there. I don't see this as being that different than a husband and a wife who might not always be together when they find a cache.
  7. I have run into the problem of space myself. Our team has a cache game running that has a lot of links, tables, and other html code goodies. These change almost everyday and more than once I have found myself moving or removing to get things to fit. I agree and would like to see the long description size extended to help out those of us with caches that need it.
  8. I have recieved an email already from an interested cacher. I don't think it will be long now before the Travelin' Cache is back on it's feet.
  9. Could any cachers in Iowa help out with this. I started a cache the moves everytime someone finds it. You can read about it here. It was moving pretty often but it seems to have gotten hung up in Iowa. It was placed in the northwest on March 27th. If you could help get it started again or know of someone who will be in the area I would really appreciate it. Thanks
  10. Has anyone had success in buying a cable for the etrex basic gps (yellow one) from an auction. I am looking to purchase one and do not find any new for less then 29.99. Have you bought one at auction and been happy. I would prefer one that is garmin brand. I am however a little hesitant to buy one from ebay. Any thoughts on what to do?
  11. I know this has been asked and answered before. I plan on buying a computer cable connector for my eTrex. Which software do you recommend to use in conjunction. I basically want to transfer the waypoints into my gps, without having to hand enter them each time. By reading the posts I am somewhat stumped on what to use, the different formats and files are new to me. Thank you.
