I will chime in with a definite YES. When I am up late and my eyes start going fuzzy from looking at the site to long at least I will be able to make out colored blobs now
-
Kinda being nice? I know that I am too new to have tried any of the other BD caches but it looks like a couple of DNF's on this cache already. I might have to give this one a shot just to say I have tried one.
-
My 2 cents. Any weekend is fine with me
-
OH MAN, I am so up for this! I can't wait to get my hands on one of these, if I can.
-
Just noticed that google maps also has an overlay of sat photos now. Still can't pinpoint, but it is a nice feature.
-
no problem Allanon I had some problems pulling it all together so I am sure someone else probibly had the same dificulty. BTW it is way to early for reasonablr people to be up, I am going back to bed for an hour.

Got another e-mail from Bruce. He said that since is it a virtual that he is basically going to consiter it an on your honor that you were there. I think a picture of something Identifiabe is the least I will do wherever I get there.
-
I got a reply from Bruce about the cache. here is the text of the e-mail I got from him.
"AndrewRJ
There is no container. I had one there but the rangers for the National Monument took it away, which is why I made it a virtual cache. I'm waiting to hear back from the Earthcache folks on how people receive credit for finding the Earthcache. I'll get back to when I find out more.
Bruce"
So it definitly sounds like a work in progress. I would think that pictures would be fine but maybe a group trip for another day.
Runhills I don't mind the minor hijack, the information was pertinant to the area.
-
I sent a quick e-mail to the cache owner thismorning asking if it was a picture, info, or container at the end. I hope to hear back soon.

Thanks for posting this. It's close enough to Wenatchee that I may very well be interested in grabbimg this one on Sunday after the WCM! Earthcache is the only icon I lack in my user stats.
Tin ear was asking if I could think if anyone else who might want to do this one. I remembered our conversation and tossed out your name. I don't know if I will be able to have enough time to actually get this one but I thought I would see if anyone else had the same idea, that this was fairly close to where we were already going to be.
Little Blue, A Earthcache is basically a cache placed near a Geological, Paleontological, Arceological (although not in, of course) or other Earth type site. Usually the cache page includes a lot of history of the site, including what makes it unusual.
The earth caches go through a double approval process, I think. First through normal cache placement and then through approval on the earthcache site, I think.
Here is the website for earthcaches with a lot more info. Plus it is another icon type.

Thanks to tin-ear who pointed out the new Earthcache to me. Is anyone planning on going to grab it after the WCM?, or maybe even before?
-
I did much the same math as LucyandRickie but we are talking about a person who really hasn't slowed down since day one. I gave her a much reduced recovery time and guessed about 5 days earlier.
-
April 20th, don't let me down Little Blue.

Hmm the 10 AM group... I think that is just me, unless I overlooked a few posts. I will get there when I can, work keeps trying to give me more jobs cause they see a blank in my schedual on Friday. I have to keep beating them off with a stick. Don't wait for me, I will call when I get there. I am not willing to slow the group down if I am unforseably delayed.

Will the new map server allow for bigger maps?
Actually I've been toying with a size of up to around 600-1000 pixels high and wide on the development machine. It seems to work well. Once the new server software comes through I'll set up a beta.
I am drooling already. This was one thing I have been thinking would be nice but never got arround to asking for. Thanks Jeremy!

Well I can't get out that early. Looks like I will be playing catchup. Hey Allanon, was that your cell # you gave me? I can give you a ring when I get to the area to track you down.
Since I will be getting there late, if others are going to arrive later I would be up for sticking around after Kealia has to leave to look for some of them.
-
I am... cough, hack,... feeling ill,... wheeze... 10 is fine with me. I got a half day blocked off with the lady who does the schedualing and I will work a long day today and tomorrow. No problem.
Where are we meeting first?
-
Hey that sounds great to me as well. I really don't care I just love an excuse to get out with good poeple and have some fun. I think that I will be able to get out of work around 11 or 12.
-
thanks Little Blue, I have been in so many parks recently I have started to run them together.
-
I think I would like to join in on this little flotilla that is developing. Sounds like fun. I would be more than willing to man an oar, (until my arms give out that is).
-
I am not sure but I think there is a parking fee in the RWP. I would be inclined to vote for the RWP despite that.

Depending On the details, Or price range, tryTibbetts Creek Manor if the link works. I almost got married here, but decided for an indoor wedding in the end.

Dang justybug, I got the munchies and must have left it there while visiting the cache .
In all seriousness, I grew up on the side of Tiger and would want to know which cache it was. Aparently even the stoners like the view.
