  1. That would guarantee I log the same caches as my friends who had conveniently copied down the code for me.
  2. Erm, use them for their original purpose? I dunno For teaching sex ed classes? Back on topic... worse swag was a shell. In a cache on the beach.
  3. I had a tonne of condoms left over from the sex ed sessions held in my classroom. I thought - hey great swag. But then I thought - if you trust birth control left in a cache, you deserve what you get. So now what do I do with them? I put a bunch of condoms a nice glass vase in my bedroom. They look pretty and I can add to or take from it as desired. Sounds quite decorative. It is always nice to make the place pretty when you are entertaining.
  4. oops. this condom comment stretched over two posts?

  6. If I had have kept it a secret, I would not have gotten a rousing round of applause from my students for arriving slightly disheveled one morning after four FTFs. But I'm a math teacher. My nerdiness is more than assumed.
  7. I've been married to one for 12 years. That's why the term "sweetheart" was invented. I have to keep my Daves straight.
  8. This morning while walking to the hairdresser, a car drove by with the licence plate 738 FTF. I took it as an omen.
  9. Well if you are allowed to carry a gun, doesn't it mean the person you might run into is allowed to as well? Yikes! No wonder you guys in America all need to run around armed. I carry bug spray (as well as pens, tweezers, swag etc) And sunscreen in the summer. And I make a lot of noise in case of bears. Quite an interesting contrast!
  10. Never thought I'd say this but thankfully I dont live in the USA! One place I wont be visiting ant time soon. Was thinking the same thing! Putting a WEAPON in my caching bag never crossed my mind.
  11. My five year old says this all the time. I'm bringing him up just right.
  12. I find being average looking helps. No one even notices me. Just like high school.
  13. That was so incredibly cool. But it made me homesick. So, so homesick.
  14. An Easter egg hunt lead to one of my caches disappearing once...
  15. Wow. Even this idea has history. How about a new post icon for historical forum topics?
  16. OMG Chewy - I am so going to go and read your logs now!
  17. The oldest I found is British Columbia's oldest: http://coord.info/GC1DD 02/02/01 It is about 2 kms from my home and I found it about 2 weeks into my geocaching 'career'. It was cache 16 for me. Had I had known of its significance, I definitely would have saved it for a proper milestone cache like so many others around here do.
  18. It wasn't very fair to make me drive to Seattle for this event. It should have been in Vancouver.
  19. I guess the GPSr was free too? There is nothing free about this hobby! I even bought a car because of geocaching! $30 a year is nothing.
  20. Finding parking should be half the fun. Seriously though, what is wrong with a walk? This is an activity that should go hand in hand with an active, outdoor life wherever possible.
  21. Are you planning to come to Vancouver, BC soon? There are 6 I can think of here.
  22. How about you chose not to find caches placed by cachers with less than 100 finds?
  23. One I've used (but my caching buddy coined): ASM. Another Shi(f)tty Micro.
  24. If it is hanging in a tree... make it an ammo can.
