  13. You are lucky C4 and it's great to hear that nothing bad happened to you! Way to go John! Don’t feel bad Dave. Iam sure all of us have done things while caching, but won’t admit it. Mine was climbing over rocks during the summer in a rattlesnake-infested area wearing flip-flops. Thanks for sharing your story. Once is awhile we need a “wake up call” that our sport can be dangerous and we need to be careful out there. John deserves some kind of Geocaching hero award! Nick GrnZoom

  17. I am using an Extrex Vista on loan from a coworker. It has the same problem of turning off randomly. My coworker knew of the problem and told me about it before loaning me the unit. He says he got an RMA number from Garmin at some point to get it sent in for repair but he never got around to mailing it in. When I give the unit back to him, he plans on calling Garmin again and getting his RMA number so he can get it fixed. REI...REI...REI I just found out my coworker bought his unit at REI. He didn't know anything about their return/exchange policy. He is going to look into it though since he would rather go in and get it replaced over mailing it to Garmin. I just sent my 60CS back to Garmin again because since they upgraded the firmware during the it's very recent visit to Garmin, the darn thing shuts off everytime I try to auto-route.... Yes I know...... The good news is that I still have my backup Legend to use! Sould get a Magellan. I've had my Meridian Gold for two years no problems. It's been dropped a few times found close to 700 caches showed my the way around No.Cal, NV, & AZ. Nick GrnZoom

  23. You don't really need the moon if you have the right equipment. You just need to keep it under 25 minutes.. That one and The Forbidden Forest are on the list of the ones Rogue actually wants to go do. That just means I have to wait for her before I can go. Here's one for only $10 bones......1 MILLION CANDLEPOWER! I love mine...cause it's cheap This spot light is only 5 bux at Fry's with the $5.00 mail in rebate. Wgan EZ Grip halogen spot light, 1,000,000 candlepower with home and auto charger. Can run for 30 mins. continously. I got one today. Fry's in San Marcos has at least 25 stacked on the top shelf. 24. It's nice out there without all the cachegrabbers off the roads. We had all the caches on the coast to ourselves. The weather was perfect to ZOOM around topless. We saw the tall ship off the coast of Oceanside do battle. Cannon fired lots of smoke and sound. Bet you don't see that in the desert... Nick & Sharon TeamGrnZoom
