  1. Yes, I have noticed that also. I think I made a comment about that on the previous update thread. Is there a feedback topic open for that? I would throw a vote or two one it, or Nate can just acknowledge they are aware of the problem and it will be addressed in the future. The thread in UV is here: http://feedback.geocaching.com/forums/75775-geocaching-com/suggestions/1822783-name-of-hidden-found-caches-are-shown A bit stupid that one needs to submit a feedback on something which is clearly a bug and thus gets on the pile of things that never will be accomplished as many of the items in the feedback system. Secondly, the personalisation is still broken on the standard maps. Each time one zooms (out) or moves the maps, the founds show again despite that the checkbox is checked not to do so.

  3. i can't replicate that, the personalization is there whatever i do, navigate away from the page, zoom in and out not sure what you're referring to I'm referring to the standard maps, not the beta maps
  4. It seems that I don't get smileys anymore for my found caches on the beta maps. The normal icons are shown instead-> seem to be back now. The personalisation of the beta maps doesn't remember the personalisation when I leave the page. On the original maps, the problem that the personalisation doesn't even get remembered when zooming in/out and moving the map is still not fixed. I'm using FF 4.X
  5. There is still an issue with the personalisation of the old maps. When I click on 'Hide my finds' the founds are hidden on both the maps and cache list. But when I zoom out, the check box remains checked but the founds are shown again. On top, it would be nice if one do some personalisation on the old maps, it would be saved when leaving the page in order to prevent to do personalisation all over again when one returns to the maps. Concerning the fixed width. It would be more than nice if this fixed width adopts itself to the screen size. It ain't rocket science to determine the size: http://www.javascripter.net/faq/screensi.htm http://www.pageresource.com/jscript/jscreen.htm
  6. Waarom kan zoiets eenvoudig als 'doos' niet gebruikt worden? 'Houder' is nog zelfs algemener en volkomen perfect NL.
  7. Van Dale zegt mij: houder, verpakking, vat, bak, doosje, koker, bus Keuze genoeg dus
  8. I'm afraid that's not entirely correct. According to the guidelines: "Cache containers and physical stages should generally be separated by a minimum of 0.1 miles (528 feet or 161 m). " In other words, any psychical (cache related) thing must be separated by a minimum of 0.1 miles.
  9. I sincerely hope that this is NOT the answer from GC.com to GCVote
  10. Cool thx. I hope that the gc tour script will be fixed too soon.
  11. Which script is that on the http://userscripts.org site? btw gctour is broken (again) due to this update
  12. What looked to be a nice extra feature when announced, turned out to be a step backwards. See also http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/pickpocket/
  13. I use an Ipaq 214 with Geoscout. See also http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/geoscout/
  14. Hi, Although the 450t can hold officially 5K caches, there is a small problem with that. As mentioned in http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/oregon-450t-bis/, you'll need to import the caches as POI since the waypoint manager can hold only 2K Eddy
  15. As mentioned in http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/batteries-included/, I'me rather pleased with GP Recyko batteries combining the benefits of Alkaline and rechargeable batteries.
  16. I own a 450t for a couple of weeks now and blogged my experiences so far in: http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/oregon-450t/ and http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/oregon-450t-bis/
  17. What about his: http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/the-needle/
  18. These caches are archived now since they don't meet the guidelines. But the point is not about logging at all. It's about these cache allowed to be created. I challenge you to create one like that. For sure, it'll get refused by the reviewer with the guidelines as argument.
  19. The humor and fun stops when you want to create such a cache yourself. For sure, it'll get refused by the reviewer with the guidelines as argument.
  20. Sure, a cache that cannot be logged physically (technically and money wise not granted for the average geocacher) nor online (logging locked). What a tremendous improvement!
  21. There is novel about this. It was already done before International Space Station and it was archived August 22, 2006 with the remark: "It's an interesting concept but it no longer fits in the existing categories on Geocaching.com"
  22. There is a problem if one decides to arbitrary change those rules whenever it suits oneself. It isn’t certainly a sign of originality or creativity to flout things. There are other ways, as mentioned in http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/barrels-of-creativity/.
  23. I've also logged so called arm chair virtuals (8 to be exact, which is about 1.42% of my total finds and thus far from routinous), which weren't exactly no-brainers like some physical caches. But that's not the point here. Let's face it. GC is a game, which has it own rules. There is a problem if one decides to arbitrary change those rules whenever it suits oneself. It isn’t certainly a sign of originality or creativity to flout things. There are other ways, as mentioned in http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/barrels-of-creativity/.
  24. It's a clear example of pork barrel politics and it is not fair towards the cachers having to apply to busybody rules. As said in http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/breaking-your-own-rules/, these need to be archive asap.
