I AM USING METROGUIDE USA 4.02 In MY 60cx. old but does autoroute.

i have had etrex legend for 2 years. just got a 60cx.. wow!!!

if you happen to have metroguide that you have been using in some other garmin, as i did , i found it works fine in the 60cx. auto routing included. thanks to peter....

i have metroguide 6.7 on pc and 4.2 disc. you think if i remove the 6.7 and install 4.2 i will have autu routing on my 60cx? will unlock codes come into play? also is there a way to tell what is on the micro sd card in the 60cx? No need to remove anything. If the version of MetroGuide-USA that you bought is really 4.02 (I don't think there ever was a '4.2'), then yes, you should be able to use it for auto-routing on your 60cx. Check that the 'Data Version' of your MetroGuide is 3.00 (under the Help menu click on About MapSource and then Product Info). If it is then be sure the box is checked to include routing data when you download maps to your 60cx and that should allow the unit to do auto-routing. thanks peter!!! metro guide downloaded just fine and everything works great including auto routing..no need for cs or cn now that i can see.

the best bang for the buck i think is the garmin v. it comes with the city select software, cig. lighter adapter and more. these you pay extra for with the legend. the v also is faster has larger screen and auto routing +. at about $245.00.

i just bought a 60cx on ebay buy now for $377.77+ $9.95 shipping. 9 left. item # 5861977994. seller also had 60csx.

North America City Navigator v7 DVD contains 111 maps, "average*" map size 13.84 MB, 1,536.3 MB total. A few maps sets are larger than 24 MB and will not load in units such as the Legend C and Vista C (Raleigh section of North Carolina is 24.3MB's, Southern Missouri is 24.2MB's, and Southern Ontario Canada is 25.3 MB's from gpsnow.com

i just bought a 60cx and would like to know the difference between city select and city navigator. the discription i read is about the same for both. i will use it for both on hiway and off road. where to get best price? thanks jerry

the joy stick went out on my legend after about 18 months. i called garmin for a return # and expecting to pay for repair. they gave me a return #, repaired it and returned it at no charge. i am ordering a 60c now....
