  1. My favorite paddle cache is a 10-12 mile paddle, depending your take out, down a blackwater river to the the Intercostal waterway. One must find two caches along the way to obtain the coords for the final. The final is on an island about 40-45 feet up in a pine. The cache sat unfound for over two years before I found it. The paddle along the river was great saw tons of wildlife. My favorite moment was seeing an osprey snag a fish about 300 feet in front of me. I also liked seeing all the Spanish moss hanging from the trees. I love paddle caches!!
  2. I would like to see a process and requirements for virtuals similar to publishing and logging an Earthcache. I think a similar process would yield some great Virtuals while weeding out the lame ones. The cache owner would have to do some legwork i.e. get permissions, set up up some sort of tidbit to be learned about the location. Maybe have a "historyaware" reviewer instead of geoaware? That's how I would handle the situation. And that's all I got to say about that!
  3. I wrote a paper in a political philosophy class using a very similar similar argument. I really liked that paper! Thanks jholly for reminding me... it's all about the BACON!! Sorry for the off topic post!
  4. I've done this same thing just a few months ago. I had a puzzle cache solved and in a GSAK database for that day that I would be in the area to make the grab. I was in the area and had some time so I searched and found it. When I went home and logged my finds for the day I found that it was archived. I was surprised that I could log an archived cache. I see no problem with logging an archived cache as long as the cache was still in place.
  5. The G2 is BEST Flashlight I've ever owned! It's bright and tough!!
  6. Really NM ratio?? NA ratio??? Does GSAK keep track of that??
  7. One of my favorite names is Extreme 104: There Ain't no "F" in Whey
  8. Finally, something I to which I have a definite opinion. Caching is actually fairly simple. Either you go out and find it or you go out and do not find it. I've actually found some caches that were laying out in the open. So by the DNF/Muggled logic, I should have had the option to select stumbled upon it. If you go and search and don't find it then log the DNF. DNFs Happen!
