Will this work with the PN-20 units also?

If you are wanting to use this to help with Geocaching you can forget it. As a Onroad I liked it did very well for turn by turn directions. You CAN NOT enter coords into it. I also had it putting all my Points of interest 3500 miles away from where they actually were. I tried 2 different models of Magellan and 3 Garmins before finally going with a Nuvi 255W that give actuall road name directions. All of the Garmins I tried allowed you to enter address as well as coordinates into them Neither of the Magellans did. I tried both the Roadmate 1250 and 1400. So it is really up to what you want to do with it. If not for wanting to do Geocahing I would have kept the Magellan but the fact I could not enter or transfer any of the cache locations to the unit made up my mind real fast. Good luck.

I use GSAK with the NUVI Macro to get my driveing directions close to the cache.

I would have to Agree with StarBrand for the price range you are looking at The Nuvi200 and a Etrex Venture HC would be a great combo to work with. You get onroad nave as well as paperless feature with the Nuvi and then the Etrex for your off road navigation to the Cache. I have been seeing the Nuve for around 100 and the HC for for around $115. I use the Nuvi 255w for paperless and onroad navi my self and a GPSMAP 60CSx for offroad.

A hundred bucks for a feel seems rather pricey to me!!!! Maybe so. but if that were the case in everything we do we would all be driving the same car too. :-)

I think it's just a matter of opinion on which is better. I done the side by side comparison on Garmin's website and they are VERY similar in their capabilities. I like the looks of the 60 ,and I like the buttons all being on the front but I wouldn't pay the extra 100 for it. I'm very pleased with my Vista so far. I have had both. I can tell you I feel the extra $100 was well worth it. I like the feel and primarily the button layout way better than the stick button on the Etrex.

I look at this way. No one is going to actually place a cache like that and have it published. For the fact that Just getting it published would have the ability to track them by IP addresses from their computers.

Other than the SD cars sound like you have all the equipment you need. I just put the free IBYCUS map on my hand held since I only use it for offroad/trail anyway. You just need to load the needed software. Premium member ship to do a Pocket Querry to build your data base from. GSAK to organize your Database. GSAK and the NUVI macro to load the database to your NUVI for paperless caching. You can transfer directly from the GSAK to your 60 CSx.

So sorry that I didnt really see it. BUt man at the top of the Pocket query Page are the BUttons/links to create a querry. Not at the Bottom. so in my book that is pretty easy to over look when no one points it out until after a bunch of posts.

Makes perfect sense. The priority for running a PQ is based on how long it has been since it was last run. If it ran recently, it gets very low priority. New ones get bumped right into the top of the queue. The theory being that 24 to 72 +/- hour old data is still good enough for a day of caching. What many in this thread are complaining about is that they want to make sure even those run a day ago can still have enough priority (and time) to run again today. Really mostly effects those trying to maintain an offline database. Ok That is great to hear so why is that NOT written some where? Like we are suppose to know? If someone had said this or had it posted on the PQ page it could have saved me alot of HEADACHES. I have only been on this site a few months. So if this information would have been on the PQ page it would have made a huge difference and I probably would not have even had to post a SINGLE reply to this thread. Like this? How Pocket Queries Work Due to the complexity of Pocket Queries, a dedicated machine processes them in batches throughout the day. The order they run is based on the last time the query ran last. Priority goes to new queries first, and the others run in the order of the oldest generated. So if you have a query run once a week it will arrive on that day much faster than someone who runs the query every day. It is recommended that you stagger your queries. Or even better, create new queries only when you need them. YES YES YES. Now if this was posted right at the top of the PQ page that would help a lot of people I think. Ok figure this one out. Seem as long as I create a completly NEW PQ I receive it. I just created a NEW one from scratch and got it within 2 min. Though running a previous PQ I dont receive it. So I will just have to create completly new PQ to submit

Yes it does show it ran. I also got the preview results. JUST no email with the combined results ZIP file... That sounds like an email issue. The query ran. I think what people see when they say they have not run is that it never shows as generated. I just clicked the red check mark on my normal "caches near my home" query, one I have not run in a month. It took about five minutes for it to generate. I already have it in my inbox. I made a copy for the heck of it. It ran instantly. It is also in my inbox. This is my point exactly. Where is the email problem at. Like said before I have run the same querry 3 times. Just telling it to send to 3 different email providers and never receive the PQ in an email. Every one says it runs shows the preview of the whole PQ. So that tells me there is an email problem on the PQ server end and dont know why. This was all working fine a few weeks ago on my account why did this all start doing this now?

Actually, I did not bring up the comparison, I only expanded on it. The original comparison was not about spending quality time with you when they finally get to you, but only about showing up late. Thinking about it, I don't know how many times I have sat in the waiting room waiting for the doctor to show up. Most of the time they don't call you right back when you show up for your appointment, so it really is a very poor comparison. My dad ended up waiting for six hours for carotid artery surgery no less, the whole time with us stuck in the surgical prep room while he had to wear that uncomfortable skull probe cap. After my wife's auto accident, we waited for almost two hours for the doctor to come examine her broken knees. Don't get me started. You forgot forum posting. $30 divided by 365 days equals 8.219 cents per day. Divide that by 24 hours and you get 0.342 cents per hour. Just simple math. Please, tell us which sites. I am curious what your monthly bandwidth is compared to this site. It is easy to compare, so just let us know which sites those are. Yes, but this service is not designed for you to maintain an offline database. You are abusing the service, at the detriment of thousands of other users. I use the service as it is intended and don't have a problem except occasionally. I know that Fridays are going to be busy (partially due to abusers of the system), so I work around it. EXACTLY! You get what you want (but you pay accordingly), I get what I want (and pay the same), Groundspeak makes more money (and gets to improve servers more often). The fact is that up until a few weeks ago I never had a Problem in receiving my PQ almost instantly. Now I am not receiving them at all. There seems to always be someone to say it is your mail service blocking. Well if I run the same PQ and have it sent to 3 different Email providers and still have yet to receive one on any of them. It seems you might as well get used to it. All my PQs used to work and I would get them almost instantly. about 2 weeks ago min started taking like 5-10 min to receive. Then hours. Heck now Yesterday I ran 4 and have yet to receive any of them. Funny part is that I ran one on 3 different Email server accounts. One on my ISP account, One on Yahoo and two on Gmail I have yet to receive any of them.

A doctor does not spend quality time with you. You have got to be kidding me. Does a doctor show up to events and hang out with you like Jeremy and crew? They were just at a geocaching event in Washington DC last week. They were at Geowoodstock the last two years. They were just at an event in Massachusetts several weeks ago. A doctor has doctor's aids come in and do all of the prep work and paper work and then will breeze into you room, spend very little time with you, then tell the doctor's aids to finish things up. I've had surgery where it was a local anesthetic so I was awake, and the doctor also flies into the room after all of the other people do all of the prep work, gets the job done quickly and then flies out and lets the other finish up. After surgery, they pass quickly through recovery, do a quick check to see if you are OK, then move on to the next patient. I Think that the price we pay is great. BUT. I would just LIKE what we pay for to Actually work for everyone. I still have yet to receive my PQs I ran at 6:30 this am. I dont mind waiting a bit to get them but when someone else can run a PQ basicly the same time and get it in a less than a MINUTE and I am still waiting 15 hours later. That is by no means good service. And is not what we pay extra to get.

Most likely an email issue. Your ISP's might be throtling the email from an apparent spam source. Or it doesn't like very large attachments. Or you accidently have a domain in your block list, see this posting about that. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...t&p=3662187 I have no IP/Domain blocking on my Primary ISP. Plus it does not explain why When I run a PQ with my account set up on my Gmail it still did not come through. And My sister ran her PQ sent to her Gmail account she got it instantly. And our Queries were sent at within 2 min of each other.

I just want to know why My sister can run her PQs and get them almost Instantly. I used 3 of my PQs for the day today and have yet to receive any of them. They were all ran at around 6:30 this am. And I sent each one to a different Email Address. NONE have come through. Ticks me off. Sent to my Primary ISP. Yahoo and one to my Gmail None of them have come in.. This sucks.

Not sure what is going on but this is starting to really suck. Ran my PQ over half an hour ago. Still have not received. What do I have to start running my PQ 2 days before I plan to go out caching? I used to be able to have my PQ within a min of submitting. Now I am lucky if I have it 2-3 hours later. This was suppose to be a big benefit of premium member ship.

Well between the 2 I prefer the 60. The feel and button lay out is what I like the most. It feel the 60 is alot easier to use as the navigation is easier to do with the button layout on the 60. My dad has the Vista and it is a nice unit and does a good job.

My Dad (hbo518) has been having problems receiving his query in the email today also. I went into his account created a new query and sent to my Email Address It shows the preview of the Caches but I still have not recieved the email yet either and I ran the Query about 15 min ago. Not sure but I have been having issues for a few days some times taking many hours before I receive my email with the results. Server must just be to over worked.

I agree. If there is something in between then point it out to the reviewer. There are 2 caches in one of the towns I visit that are only like 329' apart. But the seperation is Via LAKE. I would think that if you have an cliff in between that would be just as good as a water seperation.
