Then the owner gets rewarded with a log that states "5th FTF today. Took prize." -
Have a sense of entitlement, do we? It's just a piece of tupperware in the woods. Is that park open to the public at 11:00 PM? Probably not. Have a sense of entitlement, do we? You have got to be kidding me. Feel free to use this one.

Good advice. Make sure the reviewer is unable to trust what he says about any future hides. Good point. Try using a sock puppet account to hide this surprise cache .

You could probably get away with this despite what the "guidelines" state. You would just have to be careful with your wording and be quick to archive it. However by posting the idea here you have outed yourself. You probably would not be able to get way with it twice. I say go for it. It sounds like fun and generous.

Are they really taking over?
D@nim@l replied to Silfron Mandotheneset's topic in General geocaching topics
True, but it doesn't tell the story. Pre 2005, how many nonmicros were out there? How many nonmicros are out there now? I'm no math genius, but my guess is 89% and 69% respectively. Yes, but there's the reason that statistics can mean almost anything. 89% and 69% of how many? 100% -

I was given some unactivated coins once as a gift and recently found out they got activated by them almost a year later.

Unwritten Guidelines and Policies
D@nim@l replied to TheAlabamaRambler's topic in General geocaching topics
I am getting the feeling that 'We just don't want to' is why policies and guidelines are not all published. The guidelines are on a web page and can be updated in five minutes or less. But y'all have had this unpublished guideline for almost a year? "For me it only comes up once every few months." times however many Reviewers we have means that the issue continually arises... adding one sentence to the guidelines would stop wasting Reviewer time and reduce cache hider's frustration. Wouldn't just publishing the guideline be easier and better for everyone? I am sure that Reviewers don't like to refuse a cache listing, why set yourselves up to have to by having unpublished guidelines? What's wrong with the old drone "let them play review the game they want to" or "if you don't like them don't hunt review them? -

Premium member cache questions.

Would anyone who exclusively lists all their caches as "PMO" for whatever reason put their money where their mouth is by finding PMO caches and only PMO caches?
