  1. Hi and welcome to the obsessive world ogf geocaching I still cant get to grips with mountain biking and caching together so I split them up mountain biking on saturdays caching on Sunday, would love to know how you get along doing both sports combined.
  2. Hi Bloomersm, It depends for me, I run a pocket query around a certain area, I then look to see how how close these are and start with the one nearest to where I have parked, I also tend to use the compass feature most and then just find cache after cache. Best bet is to try different things and see which works best for you. Hope this helps Icarus
  3. Hello Ive been thinking about my user name and would like to have it changed to somthing is it possible as a preiem member to have this changed from I.C.A.R.U.S to Dragonfly If this is not possible I suggest that It would be a good feaure to have. Many Thanks Martin aka Icarus
  4. Ive visited the same cache when im showing someone new to the hobby and want to make sure they get a good experience from it. Also can be re-visted to drop pff a travel bug or geo-coin Icarus
  5. On My GPs Garmin Venture HC. I can up load up to 500, but only shows the ones nearest to your current location, if you was to go in to the map mode and zoom out you should be able to see them all. Icarus.
  6. I hate doing some puzzles, Ive been working on one for over a month and still cant seem to solve it, Im sure if I keep trying evenutually I will solve it, probably in 500 years
  7. When I was first introduced to Geocaching, we only found about 3 but I knew them that 3 thats its a game im going to like a month later and I have found loads and gone to places I wouldnt normally visit. You can also incorporate geocaching with other activites, I like Mountain Bike riding so now when im biking im armed with my GPS and Palm Top and look for them whilst riding. I mentioned this activity to a muggle friend and they also said its sounds boring and that they would rather play online games, where ths exercise in that, lol. I work for a call centre and need all the exercise I can get. Enjoy Icarus.
  8. Many thanks, I'll have a look at those now. []
  9. LMAO, I cant believe anyone would do this youve made my day and No I wont do anything like that, Thanks
  10. Many thanks for your advice, im certainly taking this on board. Iv'e decided not hide a cache just yet and gonna get some better containers, then I can start working on it, I have several ideas in mind and need to think them through thougherly before I make any final decisions. I dont mind multi's when I can find all the caches but when I cant find one its frustrating as i then have to go back and revisit the site. Im now thinking about a small series with a bonus at the end again all these ideas need to be researched before I do anything. Many Thanks Martin aka Icarus
  11. Hello, When using the hide and seek feature to see what cache's are in a certain area it would be for more usful if you could also select the direction of chache, for example all the North would be displayed first, then then northeast, etc.. I would then be able to see how bigger cluster of geocaches in an area but also direction hope this makes sense. Many thanks Icarus
