  1. Nice coin except for the state motto: Sic Semper Tyrannis This needs to be on the coin in place of the huge "Trackable at GC.Com".
  2. Rare older personals that were only available in caches or in person are generally considered more valuable than any state coins. Total run is a deciding factor in determining value. Different metal types are only worth more in older HTF personals. I frequently trade 1 coin for 3 coins and purchase older personals from ebay. Almost any commercial coin produced since September '05 are only worth maybe around 2x their production cost. Event coins from pre 2006 generally run in the $50-$100 range. The first 6 GCC coins are valuable with the Benchmark coming in at $80-$100. Big name personals are in the $100-$1000 range. Lesser-known personals run in the $40-$100 range. State coins run anywhere from $10-$20. I am currently compiling data to publish the 1st free coin value guide. If anyone would like to contribute data, feel free to e-mail me.
  3. I would like to publish a pricing guide for all the collectors that buy or trade geocoins. I don't want to get involved in the politics or semantics of whether or not anyone wishes their coins to be not sold. I will be taking the auction prices and costs of production to mind when I make the guide. I would appreciate anyone volunteering info on this.
  4. The trolls say it will be another month. As much as I like their coin, this is a ridiculous amount of time to wait. I believe that the coin collectors should discourage the purchase of presale coins in the future. This isn't the first to take forever and I'm sure it won't be the last.
  5. I'm looking for specific dates of mintings. I'm compiling the 1st geocoin pricing guide and would like as much info that anyone would like to contribute.
  6. What are the oldest geocoins? I know that Moun10Bike and DHobby1 coins are from 2001. Wandering Dragon coins are from 2002. Does anyone know of any other geocoins that were minted before 2003?
  7. I was thinking about bidding on the one on ebay since they are so hard to find, but maybe you'd be interested in trading for one.... e-mail me if you are interested.
  8. I paid for my Blazing Trolls geocoin on May 11th. Does anyone have some info regarding the status of this coin? Almost 2 months now...
  9. If you live overseas, and would like to have a free token, you have to pay postage. I'm willing to ship for free in the continental US only.
  10. I have a 2002 Wandering Dragon. Looking for Johnnie Lacy and Federation. Any offers?
  11. I can speak from experience regarding Moun10Bike v3's- They are relatively easy to come by; I have had 2 which have since passed through my hands. The Migo seasonals are extremely hard to come by.
  12. My top 5 favorites are: 1) Zombie Tribe 2) Kootenay Pirates 3) Worker of Wood 4) GCC Benchmark 5) Tracking Time
  13. Wandering Dragon geocoins were probably the 3rd or 4th geocoin minted. They were minted in Nov. 02 and only 100 were made.
  14. I am closing this topic. I received the answer I was looking for and no one else needs to make negative comments anymore. Thanks.
  15. I have a Wandering Dragon 2003 coin. Any offers?
  16. Thank You for the answer, Eartha. I'll get in touch with someone from Jeep regarding the old Jeeps.
  17. I actually emailed GC.com and never got a reply. So here I am asking this question on the forums and ducking the occasional bullet flying towards me from left field. As I stated before, the WJTB is on my '05 Jeep. It can be logged if you see me at a cache or event. Besides, the contest is over. What difference does it make if I have a few in my posession? You can't win anymore with them. So if TPTB can help out here, I can get an answer and close the topic.
  18. Not looking for the nasty responses here, just an answer if possible from TPTB. If you'd like to log my Jeep TB, email me for the #. It is technically still in circulation. I like that "Geofelony" term though. cute. But wouldn't it be "Geolarceny" though?
  19. I have several Jeep Tb's in my collection. Rather than just outright keeping them out of circulation, is there any way that I could adopt them? For example, I have a WJTB in my own Jeep and let people log it when they see me at a cache or event. I'm sure I'm asking for flak from people who will say that I'm a hoarder, but I am really just looking to see if it can be done.
  20. If anyone would like a free "Aucoima token", feel free to e-mail me. If this violates the rules of the geocoin forums, please tell me and I'll gladly close the topic. This is a purely friendly post.
  21. OK. Here's the story behind the Aucoima tokens. I saw the Yu-gi-oh token with the Aucoima sticker on the back on someone's trade list. I contacted Aucoima and he said he'd gotten them from a board game and removed the original sticker and replaced it with one of his own. He said the game(s) were pulled from the shelves some time ago and were hard to find. I did some research and found some on ebay. I bought 3 versions. The 1st version is the "Aucoima token" or Yu-gi-oh. The second version is the other token that Aucoima told me about. It is from Superfriends. I don't believe Aucoima ever "made" any of these into his own. The 3rd is Yu-gi-oh 2 and I believe Aucoima doesn't know anything about them. I started trading all 3 versions of the "Aucoima token" and fully explained all of this to anyone who asked about them. I never traded any with the Aucoima sticker because I figured that would be unethical and might be somewhat fraudulent. There is another token that has made "geocoin" status too. It is the " Trez Aztec Gold Coin" which can be purchased from the internet. It is actually a mass-produced pot metal pirate coin for studio props. I traded many of these too. I think that both of these tokens stand out because they were accepted as older style geocoins from past cachers. If you have any questions regarding this post, feel free to e-mail me.
  22. I am having trouble selecting the box that says "check this box if your unit uses auto-routing". It is at the bottom of the screen while you are loading maps to transfer to your unit. I am using the GPSMAP 60 CSx and it says it has auto- routing capabilities. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be great.
  23. I also sent a preorder and had gotten a reply back from you but I haven't gotten an invoice yet. Can I still get 2? Rob
