Trying to keep on topic here, I recently found a cache that the owner wants you to sign the outside of the cache container. It is called Obnoxious Orbs!, Waypoint: GCKQQG. It is for GOLF BALLS ONLY!!!
-
That is just a great article!
Someone needs to get it into the archives to preserve it for future cachers.
-
Seems like I am going out on a weekly basis right now.

Thanks everyone that is what I was expecting to hear. The car speedo is faster in most cases than the GPSr.
-
For the inquiring minds out there I am wondering how accurate a gps is according to how fast you are going?
Thanks for any help in this area.

I work for one of the largest manufacturers of plastic containers, dinky size, to size to accomodate a small family.
I'm on the Cad/Cam side so have NO connection with marketing, but just curious if there might be an "ideal"
cache container with logo et al..A Plastic ammo box perhaps??
A Plastic Ammo Box! That sounds interesting, what would the hinge be made of? Could you lock it to a tree or something.

I geocache for the excercise mainly, the quietness of remote caches, and just to get away from the family!!!!!
But seriously, What can you get addicted to that is NOT bad for you? I can say Geocaching is better than sitting in front of the boob toob, Right!!!!

I have been to many caches that were locked. These caches were in California by Tommy Trojan.

Maxed out the query for 34 27.849 X 117 22.161

Thank you Markwell. Everyone is so nice taking the time to help me hear. I truly appreciate it.
I could not find extrex lines anywhere on the menu list. I feel so silly having to ask in this forum, the most basic's of questions but the manuals are so poorly explained.
I did get my home fixed and named it as well. ( was so very proud of myself for that accomplishment.... don't laugh!) But from there it is very confusing.
Thanks for your help.
Carol
Goto your main menu screen and look for setup.
now using that little stick looking thing in the upper left corner tap it left or right or up or down to get there. Click the top of the stick and you are in the setup screen. click down to units. and in the first slot it should say one of the aforementioned settings. set it to hddd mm.mmm.

WYSIWYG
figure that one out.

It sounds like to me anyway, that the FCC is trying to get back into the licenses for CB standards which is now called FRS.

To keep on topic, these flakes may make good trade items when you make it a Shrinky Dink, or a signature card.

That thing belongs in the ot thread under "Things You Loved That Young-uns Never Heard Of?" forum.

Can we all just log the cache in question and forget about going to it?
I would!

Are you ready for this get together? It is Saturday Oct 1, 2005. Search for either Big Bear Cache Bash or GCPYA9.
Bring your sweaters or light jackets morning and evening temp will be cool (low 60's)

To me the article suggests that this sat is another 35 or 47 correction sat for the moment.

I'm a NOOB. I've found my first TB, according to the tracking info its destination is a TB Hotel in Washington state. Do I just put it in another local cache and let it move on or get in touch with another geocacher in the area who may be traveling north and relay it to them to deposit in a cache closer to its destination?
If I'd started geocaching last week and had found this... I was in Seattle just last weekend. Would it have been acceptable to take the TB with me on the flight and put it in a cache somewhere in the Seattle area upon arrival, getting it that much closer to its destination?
First of all congrats,
second - you can just put it into a cache that it will fit into,
Third - Yes if you would have found it and took it with you last week it too would be acceptable.
-
I would not use the chain that is supplied with the tag. Make it more permenent as in using a rivet through the hole and the item.
-
Im still trying to figure out where to release this TB.
Try taking it into the mountains. it should have good cover there.
-
I guess that separates the cachers from the boys/girls. Just like the mail person nothing will stop you.
cheers
Except Hurricane "RITA" In Florda keys!!!

I was toying with the Idea of making a real yellow or white jeep a TB. But alas I cannot afford to buy one. I think it would be funny to see a picture of a real one at a cache.

You're not a geocacher unless..." You move to a new area/STATE to have a new set of caches to find because you found most of the local ones.
