We are about to establish our first cache and we were wondering....what are some ideas for a good FTF prize?

Say you plan on doing 10 caches in one day and on the first one you take a TB. Is it okay to put it in the second cache, take it out, put in in the third cache, take it out,...all the way to the last cache at which time to leave it in that cache for the next cache to come along and advance its travel? I ask because I was wondering if it would be better to log on the 'stops' (which may not be in a straight line) in order as opposed to just logging the first and last caches (resulting in a straight line)? Although I have yet to send off a bug, I think I would like to see my TBs route as opposed to just a straight line....thanks for taking the time to read this post.

I have loaded some geocaches into my Venture, then went to find, selected geocache, selected a cache, selected map....The result is the map with the cache on it with one info line with the cache id, coordinates, direction (n,s,e,w) and distance, and the pointer is on the cache....so far so good....now if i move the pointer the info line changes to 'map pointer' and gives me the relevant info to the pointer in stead of the cache......when i hit the menu button i get 'setup map' and 'turn declutter on'...selecting the 'setup map' just brings me to screen with the five symbols (general, tracks, points, text, information, marine) and there associated screens....my questions are 1) what happened the data field selections (what to display, fields, etc) and is there anyway to unlink the readout from the map pointer that if i move the map pointer it will still display the information to the cache?...thanks for your time.

My daughter and I just started geocaching (4 finds), however, my daughter would like her own 'account'. That be said, would it be against some rule or otherwise bad form to establish the account log in the past 4 finds?....thanks for your time

i use my nuvi 200 for road navigation and just recieved my venture HC for geocaching (which I am still getting use to)....it is a very minor pain to load caches into both but its quick...what makes it nice is that when you mark a cache as 'found' in the HC it will tell you the next closest (loaded) cache

I am new to cacheing (on week now) and I just purchased my first handheld GPS; Etrex Venture HC, and found that the manual only seem to discuss the major features of the unit (IMHO). Does anyone know of any other sources of information (third party manuals, websites, etc) that do a better job of explaining the features of the unit? I am especially having trouble with 'track up'/'north up' features of the 'map' and 'goto' (compass) screens. And I would like to learn more about all the features of unit in order to get the most out of it. Thanks for taking the time to read this post, especially about such a newbie question.
