  1. Did you register the changes by going "through" the Forums link "out" of www.geocaching.com? Edited: This should at least affect the Forums tag <--- From: [location]
  2. From looks of some logs plenty of caching going on on the west side of the big hills..... Winter geocaching now? You bet, can't keep those people down! (Snow shoes? We don't need no stinkin snow shoes...) A Colorado list would be a great idea, but we'll need names...um...I mean GC waypoints (at least). So post them up and let's see the snow fly! (I know WitzAbout started a great list as well "Down-South")
  3. One of my most treasured "old-school" geo-signature items is the handmade (I mean really PAINSTAKENLY handmade, incredible detail) brass token by habercacher. I still have and treasure my Nurse Dave carabiner as well as my LadyBug Kids ladybug. My own MrCOgeo GeoToken (2004) is still going strong as well: Edited: Fur Spelling and Trying to get a Pic up
  4. You are quite right, stepshep, it doesn't seem to be listed as of this posting. I had to look for it under the direct links here: 800px: http://www.geocaching.com/goodies/2006-09/800.jpg 1024px: http://www.geocaching.com/goodies/2006-09/1024.jpg 1280px: http://www.geocaching.com/goodies/2006-09/1280.jpg 1600px: http://www.geocaching.com/goodies/2006-09/1600.jpg
  5. I personally say it would be nice if it was an option directly to select all listings in a bookmark at once. And for those of us geocachers who use FireFox and are comfortable using the GreaseMonkey add-on Prime Suspect has a great Bookmark Script Thank you Prime Suspect for your contributions to geocaching. Edited: For expansion

    Icons

I found a little trick I use personally, try hovering your cursor (without clicking at all) over an icon with your mouse, many times up will pop a definition. In this case Red Check Mark = "Found It!" PS: For people who care, here's the HTML snippet that makes it work in IE, FireFox, Safari etc...: <... alt="Found It!" title="Found It!" ...>
  7. <raises hand> I use a SporTrak Map (along with other GPSr for backup/experience) and really like it. It does everything I need it to do with great advantages. PS: The memory is not a big deal to me but I was taught and continue to be a hard-copy Land/Sea Navigator (i.e. map, compass, practice and keep up to date on Nav skills...)
  8. I can empathize with the frustration (I am 0 for 1 in a recent attempted winter geo-hunt myself) but we sure need the moisture, so it's a good thing really. Plenty of helpful and experienced Lakewood (a.k.a. WSW Denver) area geocachers abound that I am sure would be willing to help out as well, might want to try posting at the local Geocaching Colorado (GCCO) forums: www.geocachingcolo.com PS: I'd take Tahosa up on his generous offer when you can, from what I have heard it's well worth it. (Been meaning to do it myself)
  9. You can use the wap interface on a computer also, just enter, wap.geocaching.com, in the address line. It seems to be working, but it's not very convenient to use. Whatever works, I guess. It could be one possible stop-gap but...one slight problem with using the WAP interface (wap.geocaching.com) is that it is still having errors at the time of this posting with 5 digit waypoints (i.e. GC100KA)
  10. Well, the first cache that jumped out at me when you mentioned TB Hotels is the appropriately named COS Bug Depot by GPS Nav (it's so close to the airport as well) but on the SW side might want to also try for Baby Bear 2 as it is a cache with a long history and would make a good "secure" drop off spot, in my opinion. The weather?, I've been in shorts and bundled up in goose-down/wool all in the same week in Jan, be flexible and prepared.
  11. It's "automated" from the Help file: " ... "How does the system know who my friends are?!?!" Actually, it's quite simple: It's based on the number of simultaneous finds of caches by pairs of cachers. For example, if you and someone else regularly log the same caches on the same day, it assumes you are caching together and further assumes you are mates. ... "
  12. Working now. No hate here, just admiration for such quick support as usual. (...if there really was even a problem to begin with...;-P) Moderator(s) can lock this thread if need be.
  13. Like a chicken with it's... (Duplicate website mentioned, I deleted the post)
  14. Probably being worked on as I type but I get an error message at http://jeep.geocaching.com at the time of this post: Server Error in '/' Application. TB Race

I just quickly perused your website (TBRace.com) and it looks very well done and interesting, thank you for another great community led geocaching resource! (For historical/FYI here's another Travel Bug race centered website: http://www.travelbugraces.com/ <blowing own horn>which indeed has been all ready posted but check out that NASCAR 2005 artwork </blowing own horn>)
  16. I would be very interested as the time frame works for me and looks like I am going to miss the GeoCoin Mega-Event in Feb 2007.
  17. A TB request has been completed, my personal opinion is it is a very worthwhile promotion to spread the word about a serious disease.
  18. Create a cache listing with coordinates of your home (maybe called "Home Sweet Home" or something equally corny), or wherever else you want if you are concerned about someone figuring it out (not that they can with this approach), but don't ever submit it for approval. Log the bug into it et voilà I beg to differ, you still need to be careful with even this approach, if you are concerned about the privacy aspect, it is still very possible to find the coordinates of any cache (yes, even un-published geocaches) if it has even a single Trackable dropped in it. Edited: For clarification
  19. No problems experienced at this point,on a test computer here at work, running IE 7.0 + Windows XP Professional + registered Symantec (Norton) product. Auto-login (cookies problem?) worked as expected.
  20. Thank you Jeremy and all, please count me as a very satisfied Colorado customer.
  21. Thank you for adding the South and Southeast RSS feed, I enjoy the South, any chance the West and SouthWest could make a similar appearance, please? Groundspeak Forums > Geocaching Groups by Region / State > West and Southwest PS: No worries, snow can do strange things, I know I am from Colorado.
  22. ...like this one for the Geocaching Web Site "sub-forum", please?: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...rssout&id=5
