  1. This is my main mode of transport now: Used to be this until I hit a log and tore up the exhaust and CV boots: I've also been known to take the MTB or the Kayak out for a cache whenever possible.
  2. I only have to go as far as the garage to find a yellow Jeep, where do I log the find though? Edit: Nevermind, it turned up as the first result in a Google search. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=16379
  3. What cache was it in? I'm in TPA so I might be able to get out and check it for you this weekend sometime.
  4. I paddled about 2 miles against the current and the wind out into the middle of Tampa Bay to find the Island Cache. There wasn't much in it but it was such a cool little island that it was still exciting. I hung out on the island for awhile watching some dolphins play just offshore then by the time I started paddling back the tide was outgoing and I was paddling against the current again. I was sore for two days afterwards ( I did another paddling cache right afterwards for a total of about 8.5 miles paddled) but those two will probably be on my favorites list for awhile to come.
  5. I've never actually run into a situation where I had to park in a "suspicious" area but I can definitely see where people are coming from with this. People just don't feel safe anymore and a strange car or someone sneaking around in the woods makes people uncomfortable whether you have a right to be doing it or not. Maybe there are still places in this country where you can leave your car without people being suspicious but around here it just tends to make people uncomfortable especially with the recent kidnapping and murder of an 11 year old girl in this area. Granted all you have to do is explain what you are doing to anyone who asks but if you can avoid having to do that and having the cops called with a simple (not deceptive) sign I see no problem with it.
