  1. You mean there are areas other than San Diego?!?!?!
  2. Man, it must be nice to have a 4-day weekend after Turkeyday! Hope ya'all have fun & bag a few for us poor working slobs.
  3. Boy, some people would do anything for a little notoriety!
  4. or.....just head on over to SCC ! Yea, Harmon caught me sitting on the throne & took a picture! How embarrassing!
  5. No! No! Not that! Arrgh! I can't clear out the area the way it is, thanks to Jeff. Oh well! Hey, put it in the Southbay area. Yea, yea! Then I won't have to worry about it.
  6. Put on your longjohns, wool socks, flannel shirt, jeans, sweater, snow pants, scarf, boots, hat and jacket.....then you'll feel better! By the way, it's 80 here today! As Harmon would say, "Shee-yut" All that clothing is for seesies! When I was growing up, micro-mini skirts were the rage. Talk about freezing your *** off! And yea, there were days in January where we would wear shorts, or less, because of mild weather. Just wait for those days, RM, they'll come. Denver isn't that cold anyhow! Try going up to northern Wisconsin or Minnesota in January with your miniskirt! HelBob, I still can't quite picture you in a miniskirt but more power to ya for wearing one! Hmmm. Can't see me in a mini skirt, eh? Gotta remember, that was back when I was a teen! I was tall & skinny back then. No comment from the peanut gallery of what I am now!!
  7. How cute! A new cow speckle! Geez! You should have placed that picture in the mix with Jeep. Not sure what category it would be in.....

  9. Hey, come on! Lets not hit the frog with that one as a first! I'd say, do Frogs On Guard, first. Then Boo's Door. Do Forbidden Forest & you won't have to worry about muggles....unless you include the homeless that live in the bushes there. It's a fun cache, but better done with someone. (Safety in numbers, & all that.) A dark night & a bright flashlight works best for this cache. Do you like puzzle caches? There seems to be a ton of them in this town. Our major hair-puller puzzler moved to NJ a few months ago, so hopefully, the puzzles will become a little easier. (Hint, hint!) There are quite a few cachers that like to cache at night. You can always join the crowd! What area of town are you living in? (Or soon-to-be) Join us on the SD thread. That's where we chat on all of the good dirt, get together for caching, etc. Oh yea, definitely do The Wizard series. It's definitely one of the best.
  10. The winner is not chosen by vote alone. There is also judges who decide on how each submission rates in a few categories. The fineprint on this contest is a little confusing. Yea, but they could do the other judging part early, & then just wait for the voting by us little schmucks. If you WEREN'T able to vote a couple hours ago, I could see where you might think the voting has ended, but since you were able, what makes you think you can't still change your vote?
  11. website really isn't clear. voting began on the 1st and just ended a few hours ago. I would assume the 14th is the last day for voting. The winner will be named on the 22nd. Where are you guys getting the 14th? What am I missing?
  12. Not the way I read it. The pictures aren't available until the 1st to start voting. We surely have more than 24 hours to vote! Why would they take so long to pick a winner? I see it more that voting starts on the 1st and ends...on the 22?? At which time they finalize the math & choose the winner. I'm sure they are relatively sure who will win before the 22nd. They just keep an eye on the voting for any last minute voting rush & then update the math.
  13. What am I missing??? Isn't the voting still open until the 22nd?
  14. They still are I wasn't a city kid or a country kid I was a suburb kid! Which suburb?
  15. [quote name=TrailGators' date='Nov 14 2005, 03:41 PM Snow isn't so bad.....especially if it snows enough so you don't have to go to work! That never happens here.... [/quote] Our school included the mountains to the west of Denver. In all the years I attended school in Golden, they closed the schools due to weather only one (1) day. One!!!! They were always closing the schools in Denver, tho. The difference was that when the snow started, they got the sand truck/snow plows running on the mtn. roads. In Denver, even if they got the trucks running, there wasn't any place to put the snow. (We always thought the City Kids were spoiled wuses. )
  16. I love my job. I love my job... So much fun being out after dark, with a flashlight stuck in my teeth. Hope y'all had fun tonight! Maybe next time.
  17. Yea, it's the "and then...." that'll get ya!
  18. Hey, it could be worse! When I was Active Duty, the AF would send me to Biloxi, MS or Sacramento during the summer & Boston & Germany during the winter. One extreme or the other. (Why anyone would voluntarily live in Biloxi is beyond me! )
  19. That's funny! I have to send that to a couple of friends. One looooooves the GOP & the other one....doesn't.
  20. Three things; When we go on vacation, we mainly do Virtuals. Hubby isn't into caching but we both like the Virtuals. These allow us to learn about the areas we are driving thru. Taking away the virtuals takes away that learning ability. We are quite upset about this. I don't understand how finding places on a route work on the Waypoint site, since, when you call up a location, you get the location for the heading (submitter) & not for the waypoints within. So confusing! I'd like to print out the six pages of waymarks to take with me/us when we go out & about. Is there some way to do a continuous printout, instead of the 12 full sheets & 6 partial sheets?
  21. Frostline? Are they the ones where you can buy a kit to make a ski jacket, etc? In high school, in home ec & "bachelor survival" classes, about 2/3rd of the people made their own winter jackets. We had candles (for singeing the edge of the nylon) & down all over the room.
  22. Hey ClydeE, My system burped. I don't know what I did but when I try to open GSAK, an error window pops up to send you the report. When I click the send, it just pops back up. The only way to get rid of it is ctrl/alt/delete.
  23. I want one! I want one! Add it to my collection. Harmon, you're a naughty ol' man!
  24. The pumpkins are really cute, but then, so is yours. What to do, what to do...
  25. No, no. You mean: "We have a lot of caching up to do"
