found my first cache yesterday! 45 degrees - nice day for a hike. A little muddy and snowy but had a great day. 1/2 mike hike (15-20 min) 10 min to find the cache 5 min to swap items 1/2 mile hike back out. Saw deer and a rabbit while there. Decided that place will make a nice picnic spot in the summer. I'm hooked.

guilty guilty sort of - have looked up caches near where I plan on vacationing this summer and I have a Garmin how about - carries their cell phone on the hunt? doesnt mind coming home muddy as long as they found the cache talks to people about caching and they just dont "get it"

yea I just got mine from Circuit City and I think it was 149, even thought the price said 199. Some sort of sale going on the other day.

THANKS - the easygps is what I needed for upload/download waypoints. Now I have to see if I want to pop for the map one (decide if it's worth it for road trips versus what I have now which is enough for geocaching).

my unit didnt come with any sw just the data cable. I'd like to be able to upload/download waypoints and other data, as well as get more detailed street or places of interest. what sw should I get for either of these? Thanks.

I have it under good authority that that Jolly Old Elf will be bringing me an Garmin eTrex Legend this week! Can't wait.
