  1. I don't believe in FTF prizes. I think in encourages an aspect of the game that is not good for the game and has the potential for actually harming the game. ...the game.
  2. My cache names and why: All Hallows Tree - Looked like a tree from a Halloween cartoon with lightning in the background. (ARCHIVED) Tree Hugger - Its being hugged by a tree. Above and Beyond - It is connected to a part of a tree that is up and over a creek. Bean There, Done That - Small coffee container placed in the bushes of a coffee house. (ARCHIVED) Cheap Seats - Magnetic micro above a beam at the top of a little league baseball stadium. For Whom The Belle Tolls - Placed on the underside of a metal water meter lid in a neighborhood named "Belle Meade." (ARCHIVED) Table For 2 - Mirco from For Whom The Belle Tolls, placed inside the hollow metal head of a statue downtown. Power to the People - Small junction box at the base of a metal telephone pole. Bob - A water cache suspended by a line... wife named because the original placement (had to move due to nearby cache) was accessible even while pushing our B.O.B. stroller with our daughter inside.
  3. No, Tupperware is a brand name, as is Lock & Lock. Both terms are also used generically. (The people who call it "tubberware" make me laugh. btw, I just saw Lock & Lock on Target's website. Riiiiight, like saying Kleenex is a brand name.
  4. I've already let it go. I think the only reason I was thinking of deleting it is because I was just browsing the guidelines when the notice came through email about the find, so the logging guideline was fresh in my mind.
  5. I think my worst isn't bad at all... During the winter months, I wear glasses because the cold dries my eyes out. So now that we are in warmer months, I've put contacts back in and the first day with contacts in, I'm caching and looking at the GPS and don't notice the branch of a tree coming, coming, coming into my eye. No damage though.
  6. Yeah, think this will just slide by.
  7. That is their log. I guess I will ask them to describe it, even though its just a black micro, because the log doesn't really prove anything even with the talk about the hint.
  8. I know this has been brought up again and again but I can't get over the feeling of feeling dicky with deleting a log because the person said they forgot their pen and didn't sign the log. Should I still delete it?
  9. I'm surprised by how many of you say you've not found a pill bottle or only found one... then again, maybe I shouldn't be surprised that they are so common around here due to the laziness of local hiders. Most of our pill bottles are half ammoed and hidden at the base of street signs.
  10. Easy, the placed cache is an LPC, water drainage or micro and the new GZ is a unique location.
  11. I do respect the guidelines and follow them as best I can. The question was only asked because of one of my caches that fell close between to existing caches and I had to move it about 40 ft and after doing so thought, "Could that be a loop hole for some people?" Since this topic was made, my reviewer has contacted me and we've discussed the issue. Thanks for the input though.
  12. Then wouldn't you essentially be paying $20 more for a Maxpedition?
  13. Guess I should have stolen your tag line. My bad.
  14. Are you just talking of the review list? I'm seriously asking. If you are just talking of a list because I made this post, I couldn't care less since I wouldn't be doing what this post is asking about.
  15. This was a log that I loved seeing in one of my favorite hides.
  16. I was just thinking today as I had to move coords for one of my caches about 40 ft. Can a cacher get within the 528 if they update coords at a later date? Just curious, not planning on it.
  17. As with the app logging. A lot of my caches that I find while working, I log with a standard of "Found while out on the mail route. [insert distinctive to cache]"
  18. I guess with the one I am talking about, I know for a fact the person had trouble finding it and had even sent me a email about the cache. This morning I get the email for the log and now that they have finally found it after numerous searches, I get the "TFTH!" But I do understand the lame cache=lame log. Just thought they'd put more after knowing they'd been having trouble.
  19. "TFTH!" Make something up, I don't care. Tell me about the dragon you had to slay to get over the bridge at the river with alligators. Don't get me excited with an email showing a new log on one of my caches, just to open it and see "TFTH!"
  20. My daughter caches with us. She just turned 1 in February. We take her around in an Ergo baby carrier for wooded and urban hikes as well as a B.O.B. stroller. We actually named the first hide she did with us "Bob" because it was a wooded hike that she was being pushed in our B.O.B. stoller on, plus it was a water hide so it worked as a play on words with bobbing in the water. Our profile picture is us actually doing some urban caches (mostly virtuals) around the DC area.
  21. Found a small container in a LP that had been stuff with a packet of instant oatmeal.
  22. Meant to get this one last time we were over in Oregon to visit family. Ahh well.
  23. $75 Has no cord for computer connection. Way points must be manually entered.
