  1. is it possible to email a reviewer i would like to set a cache that has a cool unique twist to it but need to check for advice from the reviewer to see if it possible would be after the reviewer for the north west/greater manchester area
  2. ok i am not sure if i was dreaming of what but i remember about 2 years ago there was a cache that was like a huge multi with a stage in something like every county??? is this my imagination or the truth? cheers andy
  3. hi im going to release my first travel bug do i need to put a copy of its mission on it? or if its nothing to specific will it be ok without?
  4. sorry its my rubbish use of english lol. I meant paths which are not listed as bridleways i.e footpaths . lol thanks for helping me clear it up wouldn't want to get into trouble
  5. if i go geocaching on my mountain bike (only mode of transport) and it goes along paths not listed as footpath only what will happen if i get caught? will it make a difference if i am pushing my bike?
  6. to much snow waiting for it all to melt as i got a geocoin which i need to get back out there this was the only time recently i have had free time and the only cache i went for i couldn't find because of the snow heres hoping for some good days when back at uni next week i can then hopefully get it put in
  7. its actualy (in the uk) not illegal as most urbexers break tresspass laws which is a civil offense however i agree that geocaching and urbexing shouldn't be mixed for legality and safety especially with so many threats of terrorism these days but at the end of the day people prefer different caches but i wouldn't personaly hunt an urbex cache
  8. that sort of urbexing geocache aint to bad providing all the dagers are highlighted but at the end of the day people might not either read the page and also might not fully know the dangers but if its a cache on here then the reviwers are obviously happy with it
  9. as an urbexer i would like to say that i dont agree with that read anything published my Ninjalicious and you will see what is so great the objective of the explore is purly the explore i also do not agree with this idea at all i go into many abandoned buildings and have visited some world famous active sites however what i do can turn into a criminal activity and as such this should not be part of geocaching and also the dangers i have come across inside these buildings are way up and above those which i have encountered on geocaches (i.e. falling threw floors, celings falling in, hiding from security which they throw out druggies etc...) as such a geocache in an abandoned building is stupid. but thats just my opinion
  10. im trying to find somewhere that sells ammo cans around manchester does anybody know of any where?
  11. the final is going to be an ammo can witch is padlocked shut.
  12. well i have about 100 square miles to hide them in and each micro is going to be a puzzle cache in its self so each cache is going to be a challenge and each one in an interesting area so hopefully the area i place them in went become saturated and they most definably wont be normal micros .
  13. ok i am looking at creating a series of caches, it will be 20 micros with earth elements as the theme (earth, wind, fire andsky) they will contain the co-ords to the final aswell as the combination for the lock what do people think about this idea? all including the final will be puzzle caches.
  14. ok i have been using my etrex h gps for a while with british os coords now i want to use northings and westings and cannot find the answer sorry i worded this a bit wrong what i meant is i can put in an os grid reference but i cannot put in there is a few formats to use so i dont know which one to allow for N 53° 34.465 W 002° 26.127 to be entered many thanks andy
  15. YUP, contact the owner. I solved a puzzle the other day this way. I had many of the things I needed, but was just one step out. After the return email, I had what I needed. Another puzzle was missing one thing, I just got what I needed on it too! Its not help so to speak, but more a NUDGE... finally worked it out went and sat near the coords for 3 hours and finally just sudenly dawned on me. if anybody is curious as to the answer if they pm me i can tell them its so obvious once you get it (if your at the place that is)
  16. double post sorry. looks like im going to have to shelf this one unless someone can pm me advice to keep it private for other people to still enjoy the full puzzle
  17. ok got all the way to the section of the puzzel which needs this bit but i cannot work it out does anyone have any advice for working it out? there was no information about it being a former home or anything so i dont have a clue so if anyone could give me any advice i would be so thankfull
  18. ok so im looking at this geocache (GCR049) but i dont get the bottom of the puzzle the puzzle is * yyyy = age of George Harry + (5 * year of his father's birth) * zzzz = (2 * year of George Harry's death) + (4 * his mother's age) From here we head to the site of the former home of solicitor Robert Innes at N53 2y.yyy W002 0z.zzz. There is now a residential nursing home at this location, however, it bears the same name as Innes' house. It is rumoured that the Governess to the Innes children was mistress to George Harry. It is further rumoured that the post mortem which followed her apparent suicide revealed her to have been pregnant. * wwww = {1},{7},{1}+{8},{7}-{5} * xxxx = {2}-{6},{3}-{1},{7}-{8},{4}-{1} obviously with more coords but how do i get the numbers at the bottom? as in the {1},{7} bit? im not after the answer just advice on how to get these numbers many thanks andy
  19. to be honest i new to this been doing it barely a week and i am slightly annoyed with PMO caches i found a few around my area which i though sounded cool (the name) to find out its a PMO. but hey if im to tight to pay the money to become a PM its my own fault but to be fair im a student without a job so im broke..... lol but saying that the few out there that are PMO are not stopping my fun as there is still loads and i can see why people would do it. Infact i would be tempted my self to set on up (if i was a pm of course) it guarentees that the people who come to your cache have a certain level of comitment to your cache so that it might not get as trashed as easily or muggled.
