  2. Well there is a bunch of happy people who are clearly really excited about this cache! I think it sounds like a bit of fun personally and will be giving it a go (keep me informed)!! If you don't want to do it........don't. Don't have a go at the poor guy who is making an effort (and sounds like a fair bit) for some cachers to have a spot of fun! Its only a game!
  3. Have to say I used an Iphone in conjunction with my GPSR last week. I now have an Iphone on order! What a piece of kit! Recommended for paperless cachers! Jim

  5. Hi All I am off to Scotland in a couple of weeks with the pure intention of spending a week out caching. Can anybody recommend some good trails or caches up that neck of the woods? Thanks Jim
  6. You beat Amberel and me by a couple of days on Red Sands Fort, except we took 3 days and didn't reach the fort due to bad weather! Have you visited Grain Tower Battery yet? A fort only accessible at low tide and involvinga bit of a climb. It's off the end of Grain spit in Kent. Im hoping to get back there again soon! I have not done grain yet. been on my list for ages. i would suggest a visit here UGK Good info available

  8. Thank you Jerryo. Just a quick point I would like to make. I have read alot of comments with regard to extreme caches. I hopefully do not fall into the catagory of the stupid people. I am actually a Health and safety law enforcement officer, with lots of relevant training and experience for undertaking these type of caches. Please rest assured everything will be undertaken with the utmost of professionalism and implementation of safe working practices. I am happy to advise Any more suggestions would be welcomed..   9. Hello all! I am pretty new to caching, but like most hooked already! I have had a taste of some 5 star terrain caches and am hooked. My FTF was red sands forts which involved a 3 hour boat trip...dam good fun I am lucky enough to have a full compliment of rope access equipment and have lots of experience and training behind me so im up for giving anything a go! Does anybody know of some really good ones? Jim PS im in Kent if there are any fairly near there, many thanks
