  1. This is the mission I received from A Mitt. Thank you so much, it was awesome. The magazine has a special hummingbird section, and my whole family loves hummingbirds. I painted the suncatchers today and they'll be going in my daughter's room. The coin was a wonderful Earth Turtle Oceania (Tahiti). Thanks again, it really made my day, and I'm sorry it took so long to post about it (hopefully the pictures will work).

You're welcome! I'm glad everything arrived and you enjoyed it

  2. I agree, she is adorable!

I have a question, how do you keep the dogs from going after the weasels?

And a funny weasel/ferret (close enough) story that happened to us yesterday:

My son was home sick from school yesterday but going through his camping gear in the back yard. As he was folding up his tent the neighbour poked her head over the fence and asked if he'd seen two ferrets. Quick as a wink, he said, "would they fit on a bun?" . You should have seen the look on her face, quite close to that emoticon actually....I on the other hand almost peed myself from laughing :P

LOL! That is hilarious! I hope I never loose a weasel :P It must happen though my neighbor told me a funny story about this one that got in their garage and climbed up her husband's leg when he was getting into his car. Scared him quite a bit until he realize what it was.

My ferrets are in a cage. They have their outside cage time too but it's supervised. I started when Curtis was a pup and kept him on leash in a down stay. He learned to leave them alone :) I don't expect them to play or be able to be around each other I just thought it would be a good thing for him to know their not toys or something to chase in case they got out for some reason. I guess I'll have to ferret proof the new dog now!

Congrats The Weasel! You got all the answers correct! Send me you name and address and I'll get your coin in the mail.

My puppy will be coming all the way from California and will have a late arrival time of 10:57. She will be my first ever show puppy and I'm looking forward to see what we can accomplish!

    Still 30 minutes between posts?

I just bet you give your hint right after my post too!! LOL

Yep 30 mins between posts! I probably won't give another hint until I figure out what I'm doing for lunch. Food is on my mind lol...

  5. The new she is a female puppy.... but the specific answer will be what breed.... (that's the hard question )

I will be working a full day tomorrow 7-4 pm EST. I'll have time to go home eat and take a nap before traveling to the airport.....

  6. I've been a little busy lately and haven't had as much time available to devote to keeping up with the geocoin discussion. The reason for this will be arriving on Friday. We will be picking up our new family member! So here's a little cointest to keep me busy while I wait for Friday to come  The cointest will expire by noon (EST) on Friday. The winner will be whoever answers all the questions correctly (and I'll give hints along the way). Only one guess every 30 minutes. If your a co-worker of mine and have inside information you can't play the game (sorry Sgt Mikal!). This is my first cointest so hopefully I'm not forgetting any rules. The prize will be a Maggieszoo Wafflesdad coin.

    Here's the questions:

Which airport will I need to go to on Friday?

What time is the flight expected to arrive at it's destination?

    Which airline will be used?

Is it a he or a she?

What it is? (looking for a specific answer  )

    Good luck!

Sorry for the delay! I've been meaning to post but wanted to take pictures of the package first  I received a very lovely package from the Maine Family. A lot of thought was put into it and I got a package of seeds for one of my favorite flowers, snapdragons! I also received gardening gloves (which will really come in handy!), some beautiful postcards, gardening book and a guide to Maine. I also got a nerd coin and a Nero coin - I love both these little guys and I'm excited to add them to my collection  Thanks so much Maine Family!

  8. A flock of BlueMotmot geocoins have arrived! Minted by Tsun, and designed by Jen at Wickworks, they have a blue-crowned motmot bird on one side, and lots of hibiscus on the reverse. The bird and leaves are all translucent enamels, and the flowers are a mix of translucent and regular enamels. The red hibiscus on the front has the tiny initials ERB, to honor my mother who passed last year.

I am saving these for in person trades and to drop in caches only, so look me up if you are in Northern California, or GeoWoodstock!! And, I'll be in North Carolina next week before GW.

Oh yes, the fine print: non-trackable and not for sale.

What a beautiful coin! You guys did a great job on this one. Now I'm sad I'm not in CA and I'm not attending Geowoodstock because of prior plans - darn :anitongue:

  9. I was lucky enough to get in on the sale and got one of each of the turtles. I'm really looking forward to see these in person. That was a pretty neat way of holding the sale. Of course the email and follow up has to be a lot - thanks for making it work out Tsun!

  10. I was at GCF in August and didn't know too much about coins then. Looking back I know I saw on of these sitting on the edge of a vendor's table. I was going to ask how much but it was so crowded at that time I though I have plenty of time and could come back later to get one. I was bummed when I came back and figured they sold out. I didn't know about mystery coins then.

But maybe I was just seeing things....

  11. Hoping for a smooth sale on the 29th! I should be able to squeeze in some time right before I go to doggie training class to buy some coins.

Sorry to hear about the surgery. I'm sure the surgery will go well and recovery will be quick. She'll be back on her feet in no time :anicute:
