  1. I have also installed this new version and find it ok. WAAS/EGNOS working ok. I agree with you that I can not see what the difference is with the setup.
  2. Follow this link and as you scroll down you will see the versions available with instructions on how to install. http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com/Versions Hope this helps
  3. Just received the following message. Hello, We've received reports that this latest beta does not connect with the EGNOS system( Satellite #s 33, 37, 39, 44), and are looking into the cause. If you are currently having issues with the WAAS(Satellite #s 46, 51) or MSAS(Satellite #s 42, 50 ), please let us know. Also, please reselect WAAS/EGNOS under Setup->System->GPS, as this latest beta reset the option back to Normal mode. Thank you, Oregon Beta Team In the meantime I shall stick to V4.10
  4. I also updated and found the same problem. However I had no WAAS satellite at all usually have 33 or 37. I have therefore gone back to V4.10 and e-mailed Garmin with the information. All working well with V4.10.
  5. Try around Carn Brea near Redruth. There is the Great Flat Lode walk which is slightly longer than your target distance but can be shortened by using lanes. There are lots of caches in the area to choose from.
  6. Hi I have sent you a PM that may help. Hope it is as simple as I thought.
  7. The method I use is to connect my Oregon 300 to the computer running Mapsource, then download all waypoints to Mapsource. Then after using select all remove the highlight from the waypoints I wish to keep. Then delete the waypoints on Mapsource leaving the ones that I had prevented from deletion. Save this file as something like "Waypoints 13th May" Remove GPS from computer then in Setup/Reset I Delete all waypoints. Once that is done reattach the GPS and download the file you previously saved containing the waypoint you want. It is a long way round but it works and you have a back-up should you accidently delete the waypoints on the GPS
  8. All sorted now, thanks to Scott for the update of Wiki.
  9. Following the update to V3.7 once again the GB Discoverer maps hide items underneath meaning geocaches cannot be seen on top of them. The other elements of the update are OK such as different colour tracks and calibration of the screen from the display. The introduction of the ability to use Birdseye has probably caused the fault so could someone please point me in the direction of a copy of V3.6. I have tried the way mentioned on Wiki but it seems not to work for me
  10. Are you using the Automotive Profile and if so in Routing is guidance method On Road for Time, Lock on Road Yes and are your Avoidance setups correct. Other than that I have not got any other ideas.
  11. It might be a silly question but in Setup-Routing have you got the route set for Pedestrian, Car/Motorcycle or Bicycle.
  12. Is it me or does the GB Discover map look like the colours are brighter but paler following this update (3.60).
  13. Following download I also had this rendering problem but after about 6 or 7 seconds it sorted itself.
  14. Thanks for that, is that a mixture of the Basemap or GB Topo and Discoverer. Looks like I might give this a go.
  15. Has anyone had a chance to try out the above set-up yet. I had the crashing with V3.22 so went back to V3.20. I noticed that others had problems with V3.30 so I remained clear of that hoping that the update sorted the problem.
  16. I had installed 3.22 and all appeared OK until today. Out caching and as stated by others the Discoverer crashes when near to cache. I have the Discoverer on the SD card (only file) I have Topo GB v2 on internal memory but only have one map active at a time. The internal memory also has the basemap,1 small KMZ file and a small selection of PQ's On topo no problem when swapped over with Discoverer. I am now back on 3.2
  17. Thanks for that it has worked well (As I knew it would once I saw you were the one that replied) I was worried that if I deleted various files I would have been in trouble it was either the GPX/Current/Current.gpx file or the GPX/Temp.gpx that did it. Thanks again
  18. I am having trouble removing old tracks from my Oregon. The ones with information in them are easily removed with delete, however I have other ones that appear to have no information in them. Delete does not work with these Any advice about the file name I could search for to delete in order to remove them.
