I am having trouble with my Magellan Explorist 500. I removed the SD card, loaded caches onto it, re-inserted card into GPS, and it finds the file, but states it is empty. When I put the card back into my PC, it shows all the caches I placed on it. I have had trouble before. The Vantage point software won't sync with my GPS, but it does recognize it. Have not GC'd in awhile, and going on northwoods vacation this weekend...would like to get some done. Any help appreciated. I downloaded the files as GPX files (apparently I cannot use the Magellan Communicator software, either- not for this model I guess.) In the past I have had trouble, but not this much.

i work in an emergency room...this would not surprise me in the least. People have come in and told me crazy stories, and I have to sit there and smile and nod like I believe them- for the 3rd time this month!!! So- although I think it is probably the store's over-reaction to a Darwin nominee, people really do need to police themselves. also- HIPPA does not have to do with the store- prev.poster correct. It probably was a wally employee. We have a cute little cache at our wally in the lot- felt naughty finding it, but it was one of our very first finds...still is. We're new!! Has been there a couple years- fun to find. Going to find some nuclear coffee now, or use preparation H orally. Ooh, I am short on time, maybe I dry my hair while soaking in the tub??

See- I wonder if that isn't what the TB owner did by accident. They left a note in the bag with the TB and the item it is attached to to reference a specific number. I do that and I come up with the exact same account as if I do the dogtag number. the owner does say they have two, and the orignal pic shows 2 items, but you can't see tags in that one. oh-well, I have logged them correctly, which I am glad about!!

We have recently begun this exciting game, and have a ? about TB's. I changed the log on the one I found from a "discovered" to a "grab" due to the fact that I actually have it in my posession at the moment and someone else had it...or do they? I beleive this was a 2 piece TB, and the pieces have been split up- on purpose I am sure. Anyway- I think it is making tracking the little guy hard to do. Any advice- did I log it right? Ok to e-mail me with answer.
