  1. Those aren't mystery caches! They mark the location of people who don't know why they live there!!

    Night Caches

I would also cast a vote for a "night cache" catagory. I do travel a lot and I would like to do night only caches. It is hard to find them if you do not know the area.
  3. Great Photoshop work Harmon! Honk! I was wandering near an old utility box when I saw this in the dark... It looks different than I remember it though...
  4. ...What! you think I have water on the brain... lol
  5. ...nice track of Twin Peaks Loop, hey but I live there! I like the idea of a hiking stick, but I can't imagine hiking in sandals...
  6. Is anybody from San Diego considering going to this event? I have some friends coming from Germany and there are several cachers I know from Texas that are going to be there. I am planning to go, but there are some logistical challenges I am working through. I hope to be in Dallas on Thursday the 25th, and leave on Monday the 29th. I already have reservations at the campground for one site.
  7. I would be willing to volunteer for the conference. I have worked with Playtime, Inc. as a geotech for over two years, and now I have started esigning geocourses for them. I would be more than happy to help out.
  8. I caught one in a remote lake in Northern Minnesota (aren't they all remote?) back in 1987. I caught it while fishing late at night, supposedly the only time they can be caught. Apparentely they've spread to lakes across the country. These are the only pictures I have of the "creature" I caught that night. O-Tay Zilla ! Looks like my ex wife when she was a child...
  9. Don't let them frogs eat all the popcorn. I'd like sum to go wit my beer tomorrw night at the Pizza place... yes siree I'd like to attend.
  10. Will this post serve as a request to join the coin club gentlemen, or is there another way to "join the club". I have just recently taken an interest in geocoins but I am willing to contribute any I order and $ contributions for purchases the club makes.
  11. 1) Download Cachemate. 2) Using GSAK go to File/Export/Cachemate PDB File... 3) Synch your Palm to your PC 4) Open Cachemate and import to unfound items. Check out this cache page for more help! I was one of the "Many Others!" for that event. It was fun installing the CAT5 at that school! We had a great turnout too! getting the pocket query into GSAK Download your pocket query to the desktop. drag the folder onto the GSAK icon if you have it release the mouse. it will automatically open GSAK and ask you if okay to open the file. How is the best way to catch this mouse in the first place? what's a mouse got to do with geocaching? I thought we were not supposed to harm any creatures whilst out on the hunt?
  12. I will be leaving for a trip to Florida on December 16th and then I will be traveling from there to Paris, France on December 26th, then on to Offenburg Germany on January 1st. I am willing to give any bugs or coins a free ride and drop them in caches near where I will be. I live in the North County of San Diego so it would be best to let me know soon so we can arrange a pick up.
  13. ...there is this program caled Adobe Acrobat that could be used to make a PDF, then it could be scanned and emailed or posted. I could try to make sometype of on-line form if there was a place to post them.
  14. For Safety's Sake... Here is a form I found that applies to letting someone know where you are when u go caching. Thanks Klemmer!! http://www.socalgeocachers.com/files/GeoPlan2.pdf
  15. Hey Chuy! If noone else steps up to adopt The Whistler cache, I'd be up for doing it sir. I'll email the owners by friday and volunteer hrtpmpfxr
  16. I didn't see any posts about this topic, but I may have missed it. Is there a way to do a querry based on date of cache placement? I would like to have/make a list of the oldest placed caches, not necessarily by location but simply by age of the cache. Is this possible? hrtpmpfxr
