  1. lol - well thats an effective thread killer (and also probably the reason he has so much time to go out and get those caches instead of reading all the threads) Oh - and if you do read this - congratulations from me too!
  2. we stayed in kensington and I spent an enjoyable afternoon doing the hyde park caches (although they were all magnetic micros) apart from the last one where I actually met another US cacher. Kensington is also fairly near the shops so that shouldn't be a problem either :-)
  3. backgrounds are optional when you print depending on the browser settings. They ship defaulted to off (otherwise you'd waste a lot of ink - imagine printing this page with all the blue backgrounds) Tab's are not really (easily) done in html but you could surround everything with <pre> </pre> as that puts out text exactly as it would appear in notepad. You'd need to ensure you are using a monospaced font (courier) to make everything line up. Alternatively use tables (or css once you've cut your teeth in web design)
  4. Hey! Do we allow furriners in here? Stu I still have my uk passport you know! If you use gsak to generate the web page (which would be quicker) then you can also put in all sorts of links, including ones to the main geocaching webpage. With a bit of css styling you could probably still keep the look and feel that you have at the moment too.
  5. doesn't look like of the usual culprits have been to this one - or at least I don't recognise ANY of the photos.
  6. we do something similar, called the lonely cache club in Ohio - more details can be found at http://www.geocacheohio.com/modules.php?na...=viewtopic&t=57 (which also has some rules you may want to adopt (or ignore :-)
  7. well it is saving my text now (weird) but last time i checked (when i posted the original post) it was saving edited macros but not new ones.
  8. chorlton:- 8 mongoose 18 jstead 15 arrk (no S)
  9. just a heads up that the macro editor doesn't actually save any macros that you create (and also doesn't default to saving the macros in the macros folder)
  10. the medion software is also only keyed to run on medion hardware (and possibly even the individual unit itself)
  11. its happening again now too.
  12. i didn't think much of it, and spent the first 2 mins (before the advert break) wondering if i was watching the right episode. Apart from hiding a body near a cache in newyork called footbridge (i checked and none exists) and burying the cache and the suspect for a murderer being a geocacher I'm sure it was a good advert for geocaching (hey - any news is good news?)
  13. hey no encouraging them <-----that plea posted on behalf of arrks :-) Congratulations both of you.
  14. phew - now all uptodate. Unfortunately you can't do it on the bigger picture.
  15. a couple of my nearby caches have had tick warnings posted by recent visitors...not a nice thought :-(
  16. What would be really cool would be to load these into flickr and then use the tag/note facility to mark who everyone is. Interestingly i didnt see ARRKS there - were they off bagging some more FTF's whilst the picture was being taken?
  17. I'll second that.Today I went out caching for the first time since i moved and had access to a new computer. As the computer is not mine I couldn't install theBat which allowed me to macroise the importing of a gpx into gsak so I was not looking forward to having to do that...then as I loaded up gsak it came up with the new version, checked the whatsnew and - an answer - within 2 minutes of me discovering a problem the solution was there and it works great. Thanks a lot Clyde. Now all I have to do is find where I put my backup of filters, locations and other stuff on my cd collection
  18. and about 18 months before I get to them.
  19. 3 of my caches on my page are ones that I used to own but have had adopted. And the other one is swine stencil cache from the heartless arrks.
  20. congratulations on both accounts. Hope they were both good events.
  21. About time too! Glad you enjoyed it and I'm sorry I couldn't come with you and you've now got an earthcache logo too. Fitting way to get to 300, so whats your next target? Congratulations Brian.
  22. it worked for me when i had it installed on the main memory and the gpx's in the sd card. I'm using the older version for pocketpc 2000 though. Have you also tried posting on the forums in the software section and/or the gpxsonar pages?
