  1. Congratulations to Happy Hedgehogs who finally got their 100th cache this week. The funny thing is that he transposed the numbers on the cache so his 100th says it is in Arizona - oops should be Coxley Capers 4
  2. bah - YOU'RE the inspiration for my puzzle cache!
  3. hel 58y was assigned to bournemouth council but they never used it and there is no way I'd express an interest in it under my real name....
  4. Not sure if you knew or not, but GPXSonar now automatically puts links to any spoilers on the PDA cache page. Lovely! I have set my spoilersync to copy the jpg and html pages that are generated straight to my PDA, so I don't have to do anything other than just run the program. not if your pda is running 2002 though :-( I can't run the newer version.
  5. oh and if you want to check it works, gc36eb is a cache that contains spoilers
  6. Screen shot the dialog box and upload it somewhere with a link on here so we can see what options you have checked. Make sure that you do NOT have delete previous pictures not in current waypoint file selected or you will delete any previously downloaded pictures! As long as the picture has spoiler in the description then it should download. Personally what I do is download all the pictures into a spoiler directory with only "only download pictures, ignore pictures, shrink pictures, create web pages, create summary" selected. I then run a script which reads the gpx file and copies all photos named "cache*.jpg" and "cache*.html" (where cache is the waypoint number from within the gpx file) to a spoiler folder on my sd card which goes into my pocketpc. I also set up a html extract within gsak with links to the spoiler web pages. That way when I'm in the field I have few click access to spoilers, hints and the cache page. Unfortunately none of the caches around here have spoilers on them!
  7. oh - i thought it was a monochrome geocache logo
  8. New question - is it possible to cancel the centre point of a saved filter? I have a filter setup that has the center point of where I used to live. Now that I've moved 3000miles the distances are a long way off. I can't see any interface to change the center point for this filter.
  9. first one to buy me a plane ticket over (and back again) gets the jeep.
  10. "Absolutely brilliant" - Helsby herald Loved the cache video. Some of that scenery looks like *the* reason to go caching.
  11. errrr - did you know I just pooped where you are kneeling?
  12. if I can get more than one in the beginning of July another one will be winging its way to cheshire......
  13. Just to mention (couldn't find it elsewhere on the forum) that by doing a custom export you can export cache data to kml format to use with the excellent keyhole program. Just use the syntax below "C:\Program Files\GSAK\GPSBabel.exe" -i gpx -f "c:\program files\gsak\temp\babel.gpx" -o kml -F c:\temp\25.kml
  14. apparently you can get geocoins tracked as an icon for a certain payment (not sure about a custom icon though) as the central ohio geocache coin was being considered as a icon
  15. can i have the third half for the next 24 months please?
  16. I have had that same issue so I switched to notepad. It sounds like there could be a bug in the save function of the GSAK macro editor. I will have a look at this when I get back and see if I can get to the bottom ofit , but If some one can consitently reproduce the problem and email me the steps involved it would be helpful. after a bit more testing i can replicate the following. Create a new macro - enter some text. Hit the save menu item and type in "andy" (no .txt extension) and the file does not get saved. repeat but give it a .txt extension and the file is saved. However if you have previously saved a macro with a .txt extension and then without closing the editor save another macro without the extension then it will save successfully (but add a .txt to the end). This post emailed to clyde to make it easier for him to track but also added here in the forums to assist others.
  17. I don't have the problem (as I don't work at the moment) but the parents in law did say "nothing i saw in that lunch box would make me loose any sleep" when I mentioned that the ftf on my recent placement was at the cache at midnight and then 6.40am to find it the next morning (looks like I have serious ftf competition though!) One of these days I'll persuade him to go caching with me and convert him.....in the meantime he'll just slow me down in my hunt
