I thought I calibrated the compass right. It will work lets say on 2 caches and then the next It is pointing in the wrong direction.

Hi Can anyone help me!!! I got the Colorado for Christmas and have gone geocaching about 15 times and it seems my compass always points in the opposite direction of where the cache is cuz I see the numbers of feet going down to the cache but pointer is saying it it directly behind me. this is so frustrating, any others with this problem? I had a cheap etrex before this and it always worked fine. Thanks for any help.

Oh my Gosh, finally a beautifull,above freezing, day in Wisconsin... the kids are at my dads house for the weekend... get ready to go geocaching since it has been way tooooooo cold for a few weeks. I have to get the mail before we go...... What is this cool black envelope? Could it be, ?????? I would love to have a titanic geocoin to add to my collection. i had one and released it but now I wished I would have saved it.

my neice and her husband had mentioned that they had a great summer geocaching. I didn't know what it was and really didn't think anything of it. Then one day I was reading one of my magazines and there was a short article about geocaching and what it was etc. Well i thought what a great thing to do with my kids this summer so off to the sporting goods store to look at gps's. I went with the cheapest gps the etrex(and it worked great I might add) signed on to geocaching.com and researched, researched, researched and off to our first cache we go! taking my kids by myself through forests and not caring about bugs or ticks or beasts of any sort and only thinking about finding the cache, well I bacame addicted after that. got my husband into it a little and friends and have a small geocoin collection going. Boy it does get expensive though. I usually buy 2 coins, one to release and one to put in my collection. Got the colorado gps for Christmas. I have to say I really like my new hobby!

I resolve to do more night caches this year

I resolve to make my own geocoin this year!!!!

I have a travel bug out there and an experienced geocacher(caching since 2003) has it but all they are doing is holding onto it and just dipping it into cache after cache. I know I am getting mileage but it is not fun. I wish they would just leave it in a cache so I could watch it go naturally. I only have about a 100 caches under my belt but isn't the whole point of tbs is to move them to a cache and leave it. I emailed them but they haven't emailed me back. It is just so weird.

Are there any geocoins out there with a cute golden retriever on them? We are in a thought process of making our own coin and we have this wonderful puppy and would love to have a coin made in honor of him.

I lost a couple of ebay auctions for the wisconsin coin with the musky on the back(i think it was 2007 but not positive) about 2 months ago and now none have come on auction in awhile. Does anyone have one for sale? I am starting to collect coins, I have 5 so far and would love to add this coin because I live in wisconsin. thanks in advance

I hate waiting in line for rides, everyone is looking at each other and you go back in forth seeing the same people over and over and everyone is getting impatient and kids are rolling around on the ground, jumping up and down and eveyone is getting sweaty. yuck
