Ha Ha, it's not even glass. Best get a screen protector, I am using a cut now smart phone one. But there are plenty of custom ones on ebay. Over the years I have used Zagg protectors on all my Garmins (old yeller etrex,foretrex 101,Legend,60csx,and various NUVIs) BUT, they don't now have one for my etrex 30 and after many contacts (phone email etc) with the company,they don't seem to have plans or any interest in making one available. They suggested I buy one of their universal kits, which they don't sell themselves, but farm them out to Nebraska Furniture Mart, Amazon, Toys R Us at an outrageous price considering you have to cut them out yourself and they are not covered by their lifetime warranty. So after searching around and using some low quality protectors available at Target, Walmart etc I finally found "XO Skins" website carries them, very similar in quality to Zagg,crystal clear, same installation involved not as pronounced "orange peel" finish as Zagg, and oh yes, LIFETIME WARRANTY!!! Looks like it's been a few years since this one was asked...but yesterday I was tinkering around with my wife's foreTrex101 and got it to load 498 waypoints using newest version of GSAK. There was no selection for a foreTrex 101 on their list of GPSrs under Garmin, so I finally selected GPS12 from the list and had success. Of course I have a USB to serial adapter to get this done... I was fiddling around with my wife's foreTrex 101 yesterday. There was no listing of it in GSAK under Garmin, but I finally got it to load 498 waypoints by choosing GPS12 from the list. If you are downloading from GSAK, latest version as of 03/18/2013, this should work for you. Hope this helps you out! See ya'

It appears that this workaround no longer works. I had been using it for a few years quite successfully for my wife and family, but as of the last month or so, it appears to be impossible to sign a members only cache if you are a non premium member. It was nice whilst it lasted. See ya'
