  1. When I used the Android app, I was able to ignore my hides and finds so that they wouldn't show up on the map at all. You can update your setting to ignore your finds. It cleans up your map a little bit and removes the clutter that you don't need. It can be switched back on at any time. It isn't what you totally asked for, but it is something. I hope this helps.
  2. You can find great reviews specifically for your etrex and geocaching right on the geocaching.com website. eTrex20: http://www.geocaching.com/reviews/gps_garmin_etrex-20 eTrex30: http://www.geocaching.com/reviews/gps_garmin_etrex-30 We have a cacher in our local geocaching group that has just purchased a used eTrex 20. He mentioned that things were a little farther off than he thought was normal. We mentioned that he should check to make sure that the device had the latest firmware on it to see if that helps. We haven't heard back to see if that was successful. I hope that this helps.
  3. I came across this old thread today. I just wanted to let everybody know that the website is alive and well. It can be found at http://www.utahcacher.com. We've done a lot of work on it and will continue to work on it. Our newest additions are some simple stat apps that require you to upload your 'finds' pocket query. Please feel free to join and participate.
  4. Having a memory card may not solve your problem either. There is a limit to the number of waypoints that you can have that is determined by the manufacturer and the device. But, on some devices, like the Garmin 60csx, you can have almost have an unlimited number of POIs. I am still limited to 500 or 1000 waypoints, but I have loaded over 20,000 points of interest (caches). Using an application like GSAK and a POI export macro, you can load all of your pocket queries and export them as a POI file. Then with the Garmin POI loader, you can get your whole list into your GPS. Once there, you can save the POI that you want to go after as a waypoint and you are good to go. When I am done with the waypoint, I delete it, leaving room for the next waypoint. It might be something to experiment with. Every GPS is different and may have different requirements.
  5. This started happening to me after I did the latest iOS update (iOS 5.1) that was released on March 11th. It only affected my iPhone and not my iPad. I was able to fix it just like mblatch did by going into Safari settings and always accepting cookies.
  6. The official iPhone app is $9.99. I assume that the Android app would be similar.
  7. NOT!!! I was hoping so too. End of 2nd quarter and come and gone.
  8. Only 1000 waypoints? Is there a way to put in 15000 waypoints or POIs like I do on the Garmin 60CSX? I bought a PN-40 and got frustrated trying to get it to do what the 60CSx did. I travel a lot and having to reload waypoints depending on where I am going isn't very productive. After a year now of caching and a gsak database of 15000+ waypoints and growing, it is much easier to update the 60CSx once a month.
  9. Small screen, limited map options outside US, paperless caching cumbersome from what I hear. I owned a PN-40 for about a week and returned it. There was a lot of hype for geocachers. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to transfer my pocket queries to the Unit itself. The software was very difficult to use. The power connection was non standard. I had to update the firmware to get geocaching to work at all. I finally figured out how to load geocaches one at a time through the geocaching.com website. But, who wants to load Geocaches one at a time? It doesn't allow GSAK the ability to manage your caches. I have used the Delorme Earthmate PN-40 and think that the Garmin 60CSx is better.
