moi aussi on m'a flushé à l'occasion et c'est asser platte merci. et ça blesse aussi un petit peu. Quand un modérateur choisit de déplacer un sujet particulier, il a le choix de laisser une "piste" dans la section d'origine ou non. J'ai toujours choisi l'option "non- sans piste" pour ne pas multiplier les lignes de sujets. Vos commentaires me font réaliser que la petite note "Déplacé:" a son utilité pour savoir où notre message est rendu.

I first found these caches 2 seasons ago while I was visiting near North Bay and I like these caches very much. I seek and find them like all other caches set on my traveling roads. I enjoy the history lesson in each cache (I do read them all) and they are a nice break from all the micros and nanos we have here in Montréal. As for the swags, hey! they are not any worst than any other generic cache. I have never found any hint to any sponsorship in any cache I have found until now. This organisation has developped a second way to geocache: everybody is free to participate or not. I choose to participate.

By the end of the year: - empty out Algonquin Park - find a total of 1000 wonderful caches - hide a total of 10 caches (I'm not very creative and the world does not need another lame cache)

Team of one female here too. I started on my own and I usually hunt on my own, but I will never pass over an invitation sent by geo-partners.

Hi from outside OGA (Montréal, to be exact)! I would prefer owning caches through adoption than creating them. I have no imagination nor creativity so I leave others to create absolutely fun caches in my area. It comes with the risk the original owner might want to reclaim his cache but that's okay. Geocaching has exploded in Québec in the past year and adoption is a way to keep the story of the game's beginning alive as well as the memory of players that came before us and were the pionners of the game we now know. We should not forget them. I find the process a bit teadeous (spelling?) but it is necessary to "do things right". So you get my vote on the process.

LSUFan, You are confirming what my Pocket Query of the area was telling me: caches are getting logged. Rick618, A citizens' group in Lasalle is active to send out necessities to the people of Kenner. I can read regularly on the topic in my local newspaper. I feel deeply for the grief the residents of Louisiana at loosing everything. I hardly can imagine the whole island of Montréal being flooded... It is partly the reason why I engaged my search. Thank you and I wish you well.

I'm actually getting good at finding the passionate couples. I'm usually cache alone in stealth mode so they don't hear me coming... It's kinda getting annoying... LOL I had been looking for almost an hour for a very well hidden cache in a municipal park and getting impatient when I see a young couple walk by on a nearby trail, getting into the mood... looking for a good place... getting confortable... I just jumped from between boulders telling them "No no no, there will be nothing of that here!" and they gave me a weird look and left! I just didn't want to come back another day to find the cache. I did find it. He he he!

Au Québec, on utilise beaucoup: RPRL (rien pris rien laissé) SJ (signé journal) MPLC (merci pour la cache). Et un "géomuggle" devient un "géomoldu", et on échange de la géomonnaie. Un TB reste tout de même un TB!

LOL! Funny! LOL! I admire our reviewers' work. Some of us cachers have a strong personality and we are proud of our caches. So we do not like to be questioned, I guess. I have translated cache descriptions from French to English for cachers who asked me to. I would also like to see the quality of French improve... As soon as I understand how HTML coding works, I will translate my own caches to English too.

I have encountered generators while visiting/camping in Nova Scotia. They started it up right on time at 7:00 and closed it when the ranger came by to tell them 23:00 had passed. They owned a RV and used the generator to run their A/C! They ruined our 2 days in that park. The noise was horrible. I would ban them.

Same here! Me three! But I can't complain: I'm lucky. For urban caches, my dad will always come along for the ride. He's my "bodyguard" and sometimes needed diversion while I dive in a public bush to find a cache.
