That's what I ment, but I see how it works now. If you click the thumbnails, you get a slide show, if you want more detail, you can open the log and get the pictures the size that they were uploaded to the Log page. Very cool !!!

Further to that, Can't see caches Hidden Do see the Tracables and The Gallery I also like how the pictures are displayed as thumbnails... Question, Is that the largest they will be now?

I like the speed but I'm not sure how many are logged on right now I like the log count feature on the cache pages. Not sure if this is a glitch...... If you click on a users profile and want to look at their cache finds, you get a ... "All Geocaches Sorry, no results were found for this search." PAGE

Let's see, Garmin 12XL (oldie but a goodie), 2 Legends, (1 broken) a 76C and the new toy, a 76Cx (Totally Awsome under the tree canopy even when the canopy is real wet... Like that only happens once or twice a week here in BC )

I have a 76C and I just upgraded to a 76Cx. WOW does the new chip make a difference under the tree canopy here in the Pacific Northwest. Anyway, before I bought the new toy, I tried a buddies 60Cx. I prefer the 76 for 2 reasons. We are around water quite abit and I love the Floatability of the 76 (haven't had to use it yet) and for me, I found that the button placement on the 60 almost makes it a 2 handed operation. You may get used to using the 60 with a thumb but it felt top heavy in one hand and like it was going to fall out of my hand. Every thing else as far functions etc where identical between the 60 and 76. You will be happy with either unit, I'm sure, but for me it's the 76Cx.

That's actually good advice for life, not just for geocaching! My dad was an ex-Naval Officer cum civilian doctor and had that command presence both roles require. Nothing that he did intentionally, just an air of comfort and control that let him be accepted anywhere without question. I learned it from him and it served me well throughout my decade in the Navy and later as an independant consultant in corporate and government IT environments. Dress and act and as if you belong there; act like you are in charge and you will be accepted as such! Snapping and ordering people around, being a bully, is not what I mean... folks who do that stand out in all the wrong ways, and the goal here is NOT to stand out. You always catch more flies with honey than vinegar! You would be amazed at what you can do and where you can go without challenge if you develop that self-assured in-command attitude! On the other hand timidity stands out like a sore thumb! Look hinky (furtive or out-of-place) and everyone, especially cops, will spot you immediately and wonder what you are up to! Ed If I get to an area that has a real muggle problem, out comes the ID for work, hang that from around the neck. The bright red surveyors jacket (which works great for caching with all the pockets and such) hang the work radio off of the belt, grab the clipboard and start looking. I've even had a couple of RCMP officers wave at me while out caching like this. It is as Ed says "You would be amazed at what you can do and where you can go without challenge....." I put it down to "Stand out like a big RED sore thumb, Look like your doing some mundain inspection for your job, and people will look at you once, then forget about you" I still keep some info about geocaching handy, but after 5 years and almost 800 caches, I haven't had to use it yet.... When we started geocaching in 2002, I was the 'driving' force behind our team. My wife was initially ok with the idea of geocaching but she did not go on every hunt. I still logged all finds on our team account. As her experience grew, she learned how to operate the GPS, search and log caches on the website and really started to enjoy the game. She soon was off doing caches on her own. We enjoy our time caching together very much but we will do caches by ourselves if our schedules prevent us from caching together. Although caching is still by ourselves is still fun, personaly I feel the experience is slightly different because I can't share the feeling with my caching partner and partner in life. Because of this, I am more likely not to cache without xstitcher now than when we started.

I expect to have this coin at the end of January. I am thinking of a couple of things with it so keep an eye out. Looking for more trades than sales... I would like to be placed on your "Interested in trading list." We have a personal coin minted, trade only. Trackable. Possible 2 for 2 if it will work for you, and I have other coins that I can trade too if you don't want 2 of ours.

Interesting post yesterday on travisl's blog "So long, and thanks for all the caches I should have done this several months ago, but this morning I finally cancelled my Geocaching.com membership. I haven't gone out caching much since last summer, and my desire to hunt for film canisters in the woods really isn't there any more. When I was in Orange County in January and February, there was a series of caches just a few blocks from my training classroom, but I didn't bother to discover they existed until I was there for a few days, and I never did bother to go hunting for them.<P> If my interest peaks again in the future I can always re-sign up, but I won't have "charter member" status ever again. Kinda sad. :-(<P> (Sigh: see? I'm not even interested enough to go chase down links to drop into the first paragraph.)" I hope his time away will re-energize his joy and interest for the game again. Although I could never attend one of his famous cache machines due to one thing or another, I always appretiated the work it took to plan and execute one of his legendary events.

We Lived in Jasper about 15 years ago, while pushing the baby buggy downtown we had a couple pull up beside us and ask 'Where the animals in town were kept at night?' I was told about this one, A park ranger went down to the toe of the Athabasca galacier, part of the Columbia Ice Field. He noticed a tourist chipping away at the ice with an axe. He asked what the tourist was doing, Answer, taking some ice back home with me. The Ranger pointed out that 1) the tourist was defacing the park and 2) the ice would melt before it arrived home. The explination, the tourist was just up in the interprative centre and was told that the Ice Field has been here thousands of years, the ice would last the 7 days it was going to take to get home. The Latitude with the most caches along its length The Longitude with the most caches along its length

What format and datum you pick would be decided by the maps that you will be using. If your caching DD. MM.MMM and WGS84 looks like it will work. I'd suggest that you should also post this question on the United Kingdom forum, I'm sure someone there could help you.

When I place a cache I like to include some certificates from Subway or DQ, The last cache I placed was a bit tough so I gave the FTF $20CAN coupons to Swiss Chalet, 2nd Finders got $10CAN in SUBWAY coupons and 3rd got a $5 SUBWAY certificate. I also try to carry some with me in case we come accross a cache with some real good swag....

Well this is an interesting post. After dragging out all the old photo albums and sharing some laughs with my wife and kids, I've made some selections..... Taken about '71 or '72 Then it was a good copy of Cartoons that kept my intrest.. This is about 1982, That's my daughter who now caches as marketer We're on my old 69 race Bronco...
