I enjoy many of the commercial categories. I will offer assistance to creators of new commercial categories that interest me. I might represent a significant percentage of waymarkers. True confession: I will choose the abstain vote when I am unable to articulate my reasons for voting no.

Is this thread typical of conversations on the forum? Is there usually so much disagreement? I usually live in the Waymarking corner of the Groundspeak forums. In that corner, we only complain. Rarely do we disagree.

I waymark much more than I geocache (that is before the recent Waymarking web site melt downs) but I don't think that I have ever spent time on Groundspeak forums outside of the Waymarking corner. Maybe it's time to put away the Waymarking camera.

I wonder what gets discussed on Groundspeak forums that do not concern Waymarking.

I could only select state/province once I started posting process and was told that such details were missing from my creation.

The posted URL did not work for me but I was able to review the categories description elsewhere. One of the variables is Rate this Restaurant. I was not around for the beginning of Waymarking. I have never understood this variable. Rate this Restaurant: do we still need to include this variable? As a waymark visitor, too often I have encountered this variable left incomplete by the waymark creator.

I have map problems still but they seem so insignificant now.

I can't believe that Chi-Chis is still out there, if far away. Any other chains that I can think of will be limited to USA and Canada: Taco del Mar, Mucho Burrito, Burrito Boyz, etc.

Out of respect for the family members, how recent is too recent for including information about the deceased in a waymark? This is not a new topic but I have been unable to find the earlier discussion. Perhaps the suggested delay to waymark the deceased is actually written in a category description. Perhaps it was suggested on this forum. Perhaps I read the suggestions presented in voting for a new category proposal. Thanks in advance.

The whole Waymarking.com site stuff has me so unmotivated, I did not take a single photograph.

I am on a road trip but there is no way for me to know if there are any waymarks to visit. I guess I just have to photograph everything, then visit or post waymarks in 2016.

Waymarking.com would not open on browser but I did get through to review a waymark by clicking link on e-mail notice for the new waymark.
