  1. Permission to cache from Ringwood Town Council After a slight misunderstanding regarding the area to be covered in the permission, Ringwood TC have agreed to allow caching on their land along the lines of the Hampshire County Council agreement. Currently, the permission is confined to the Poulner Lakes area but, subject to prior consultation, they will consider any requests in respect of other areas within their control. The agreement has now been published on the GAGB agreement database and if any member wishes to set any caches on other Town Council land, then they should seek specific permission – I've agreed to be the contact to facilitate this and update the agreement as appropriate.
  2. Blimey! At this rate, there'll be a late Xmas bash in June
  3. I've found that some of the best world cache maps are on Buxley's Geocaching Waypoint, although I believe there's some sort of conflict going on between Buxley and GC.com - something to do with not allowing him to use GC.com info to update his maps, I think. Anyway, his map of France is here and is very detailed.
  4. When you get to a certain age, it seems that you have difficulty motivating yourself to do anything - get your bike out, get your GPSr out, get anything out I've come to the conclusion you need someone to kick you up the a**e from time to time! Any volunteers?
  5. As I have said in another thread, I have been away from geocaching for several months but have now come back. There were several reasons for my absence, mostly work-related, although I have now retired from my local government job. I work part-time from home as a website administrator and try and help my wife run our New Forest pub. I was quite obsessive about geocaching when I first started - it gets you like that - but then I just never seemed to have the time. Mainly for health reasons (I need to take a lot of exercise), I decided I had to burst back on the scene! Which I've done and am once more enjoying it. I know how you feel, though, and I almost lost interest altogether during the last year. Also, I have always cached alone - none of my family are interested - and it's a bit depressing sometimes. Still, my enthusiasm has returned and I'm raring for 100! (50'd be nice, too!)
  6. Blimey! Never thought of it like that. 15 in almost a year sounds really good now Apologies for drifting off topic. I know it's posts not caches so I'll shut up now!

  8. I have been away from geocaching for many months for one reason and another, but I am now back and making time for it (rather than whingeing that I haven't had enough time for it). Although I have only recently reached double figures and have never yet bumped into any other cachers, there have been one or two interesting coincidences, notably discovering that two friends and fellow cachers called Richair and ChrisB had been to our pub - on more than one occasion. I actually sold ChrisB my old DVD player before I learnt of their alter egos from a photo seen on another cacher's website! It's a funny old game!
  9. I couldn't access the site yesterday but I've just logged on a few minutes ago without any problem.
  10. Why not ask for something we can achieve!
  11. I hope you will be able to jump to the link here, which is an interactive map, showing all UK caches. Please be patient, it does take a while to sort itself out but it does work eventually! Enjoy your visit. Oh, and, by the way, good luck with the rail network!
  12. Have you tried the INTERNET ANAGRAM SERVER - I, REARRANGEMENT SERVANT - here?
  13. Probably very apt in view of my operating base: FOOL IN TREES SH*T By the way, although perhaps a little OT (sorry): CLINT EASTWOOD - OLD WEST ACTION MOTHER IN LAW - WOMAN HITLER MARRIAGE - A GRIM ERA
  14. Excellent - does this geocaching fiend from the Fylde Coast ever sleep??!
  15. LoisInTheForest - total found 4 - but at least I own the pub!
  16. "Seasider makes 500" was only posted on the 6th! Has he got nothing better to do? Well done, brilliant effort.
  17. Brilliant! Well done. How old and decrepit will I be by the time I reach 400?!
  18. Excellent article - shame about the spoilers! Are there any geocheats out there?
  19. I had to be put to bed and it's now tomorrow - I've only just seen your posts. Have a nice day. It's chucking it down here. Not caching weather, really.
  20. Have you all been let loose on the streets? Am I the only one sad enough to be stuck in, slaving over a hot keyboard? Helloooooo!
