  1. I've found quite a few that are 0.5 Terrain.
  2. I always use my GPS to geocache. Even with those light pole caches.
  3. Yes many a times I have thrown in the towel and given up then BOOM! She finds it. She has a lot more patience than I do. In all fairness to my wife she doesn't really give me grief but more of a busting my chops.
  4. I miss my Wrangler...I drive my 2005 Chevy Malibu Hatchback. Has the DVD player for the little one in the back.
  5. Give you grief when you find a cache and he or she is not with you. "But honey the cache popped up about a mile from work so while I was out I just grabbed it."
  6. when you stop shooting with a digital camera and you go back to shooting with 35mm film just so you can keep the film canisters for future micros.
  7. My daughter is 2.5 years old and loves to hunt the "Treasure" as she calls it. I think it's important that kids learn that there is more to life then PSP's Nintendo Wii's and XBOX's. I think they are great and have there place but they need to get out once in a while. BTW my daughter just hit her #100 milestone. Good job Hun!
  8. I am a LEO, and geocacher, in a rural county in Ohio. Copper theft is not a "bonehead excuse." We have a large amount of that around here, and yes, they will take it off a live pole!! I agree with Phipps. As a geocacher and LEO I personally have collered mutts stealing from live poles. The best part when I interview them and ask if they are geocaching I get a puzzled look on their face. PRICELESS!

These are all virtuals found by one person on the SAME DAY! I enjoyed virtuals but this is ridiculous! The next day this so called "Geocacher" logs more virtuals in Germany. Is this normal? I mean whats the point.
  10. Wow where do I start? Haven't met anyone while cahing but in my life time I have met and thanks to my uncle who is in the biz. Denis Leary twice. Kevin Dillion (Drank next to him at a bar in NYC, my uncle knew him) Robert Patrick (Terminator 2) Spoke with him for a while he was a really cool guy. Actually asked me who I thought might win in a fight Either T-2 or Robocop. Mike Pagarulo (NY Yankees) Dave Winfield (Sat next to his aunt at a Yankee game years ago and didn't believe her that Dave was her nephew til he came over at the end of the game and she introduced us...lol) My Bad. Harvey Keitel (Really short guy) plus my wife used to teach his kid. Jim Norton of the Opie and Anthony radio show. The Cast of Rescue Me. Shook hands with Gov. Pataki. Hung out and drank beers with the band the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
  11. Former Bronx resident here...Go Yankees
  12. WHO CARES!!! Copies or Originals...WHO CARES!!! The whole reason for Geocaching is to get out there and FIND the cache container. It's being in the woods and getting the experience. I have found copies that were pretty cool and original. I don't blame these people that make copies. I have myself. At least they are sharing something with the other cachers.
  13. I tried but I believe the unlock code is not working anymore. I think I have to purchase a new code.
  14. Got a used GPSMAP 60C for christmas but the only problem I am finding now is that when I click on addresses the region that only comes up is Florida. How can I set it for NY? Any help would be appreciated.
  15. My wife got it for me for Christmas. She bought it on ebay. She spoke to the guy she got it from and he suggested the reset thing. I plan on contacting garmin and will probably send it in. I hope that they can fix it.
  16. Just got a Garmin 60C and when I go to shut it off it won't turn off...I have to remove the batteries to urn the unit off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I also had problems turning it on and I now have to hold enter and the power button to turn it on. Thanks!
  17. Congrats Floopy! Met him in PA with my wife on one of our first cache hunts. He helped us out as new cachers. Thanks!
  18. Appreciate the advice cachers...Will check the log in the AM to see if he logged if not He is HISTORY!!!. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
  19. Well every cache that this guy has logged physicaly requires you to visit the cache. I find it highly unprobable that this "cacher" visited the following states in ONE day. Oklahoma, NY, Maine, Washington DC, Virgina. Should I name him?
  20. What do you all do when you discover someone armchaired a cache? Do you notify the owners? I found one guy who found my cache in NY (Will see if he ac tually logged it tommorrow) the same day he found one in Virgina, Washington, Oklahoma, Maine and NY and he even says with just "5 Minutes of Research I got the answer" I love logging Virtuals (WHEN I AM THERE). I know answers to a lot of them but won't post them because I know it is cheating. I dispise these people I don't even call them geocachers. What do you all do...Do you call them out on it? Please post your thoughts.
