  1. Trying to upgrade a 500 after upgrading a 600 with no problem. Cant even get the puter to see the 500, let alone get the firmware to see it. Any ideas?
  2. Re thinking this... Call Delorme and order a gasket. Replace the gasket, and youre good to go. That thing looks cool, especially the grindage.
  3. Call DeLorme and tell them the story. You may get some sort of deal on repairs. Called Garmin once for repair of a unit (way out of warr.) that crashed with me on my dual sport, and they gave me half off on labor costs! Worth a try...
  4. Thought i wanted one of those till i saw how dim the screen is. I wouldn't just order one without having in your hand to see first. You might be disappointed.
  5. Did you ever find a battery? Batteries Plus can get them. Just got one myself, 29.99.
  6. How do you move a thread? I'm sure the moderators don't want me to start a new thread and clog up the server more.
  7. Does this thread need to be in another area? Hard to believe no one knows if this is possible.
  8. Hold on to that thing, thats a good machine.
  9. If it is against the rules, Wouldn't the publisher have picked up on this and denied the cache?
  10. While viewing downloaded tracks (right side window) Can you overlay a map to see where it is you are looking at?
  11. I'll i have is Magellan's interface cable (serial) and a conversion cable (serial to USB). Conversion works fine with other GPS (Garmin) and the Geocaching.com site. And Magellan works fine with easyGPS.
  12. Have both you guys tried both of those programs? Which do you like best? I have tried both of those, but it has been years and apparently, Easy GPS has had some upgrades. I didn't remember it being as easy as it is now. Going to download new GSAK now.
  13. I have a Magellan Gold, and was wondering if there can be any downloading of cache and info from Geocaching.com? And how is it done. Thanks, lemn This thread is in another part of the forum (geocaching.com website) I would have moved it but i don't know how.

  15. ...with the Geocaching.com website. In other words, which GPSR works the best (easiest to download caches w/ all or most of the info needed) with out a headache. Especially if i have not done it in a while, what i mean is easy to pick it back up again. GPSR's that i have: 1) Garmin legend, forget it! 2 & 3)Magellan Gold, and Platnum, about the same, serial ports are so 90's. 4)Magellan Explorist 600, a little better but still hard if i havent done it in a while. Not friendly with Geocaching.com Also have a 2000 but not for geocaching. Thanks, lemn P.S. Forgive if this post is in the wrong place.
