  1. Good point. This past weekend I retrieved 2 more TB's and they both properly show up in my inventory. I haven't, however, *found* another cache to see if they pop up in the inventory list when filling out a log - will try to do that next weekend! Thanks everyone. KLR
  2. Yes! Very mysterious!! I'm a little new at this, but that *did* seem strange as well... KLR
  3. Hi gang, Thanks for the replies. Here's the deal: The TB was/is called "Angel" and it was properly logged as being placed in a cache called "Secret Camp - Ocotillo Wells" by the "Gilbreth Gang" 4 days before I got to it. I grabbed it and logged it same day. It properly shows up in My Account in the "List of Travel Bugs I have found. Also, when I click the link "Show: Retrieved from a Cache" it shows up in the list. So... as far as I can tell, the Geocaching database has recorded that I retrieved it and am in possession. The problem arose when I dropped it off this weekend and tried to log that I'd done that. When I'm writing the log, for some reason, the Geocache system doesn't give me "Angel" in my Inventory list to select (and thus properly Drop it off). I'm not sure what to do or whom to contact to have Angel noted as a TB that I've dropped off. Any clues? Does Groundspeak have a "tech support" department? TIA, KLR
  4. I picked up a TB recently, logged it as found (and it shows up in My Account). Just dropped it off in another cache and went to declare that I'd left it, yet it was not in my Inventory list. What to do? Thanks for any help - I'd like to properly report that I've passed it on! Merry Christmas, everyone! KLR
  5. <<When you go to make a log (post a note) for the cache, the bug should be in your inventory. Select "Write note" and select the bug from the drop down list of bugs at the bottom, like any other bug.>> This is the Ticket! I just found the inventory list under "log your visit" on the cache page. Thanks mucho!
  6. <<When you activate a TB, it should automatically be listed in your inventory>> That would make a lot of sense - I just checked my inventory and it's there - I just don't know how to *attach* it to the cache. <<You don't want to use "Found It", you want to use "Post a Note." It is generally considered to be wrong to log a find on your own cache.>> OK - good tip that will keep me outta trouble... Thanks guys, KLR
  7. Hi all - So I created and hid my first cache today, and placed a travel bug in it. My question is, when I logged the cache - and before it's been approved - is there a way for me to designate that the TB is in the cache? I can't seem to find a way to actually place it in my Inventory (even though I've activated it), and I think I need to do that before I can officially move it into the Cache (with the "Found it!" function?). Any clues would be appreciated... Thanks, KLR
