The latest app update is awful. I've been using it extensively since it was released, trying to find some way to get rid of the buttons that are taking up half of the real estate on my nav screen, because they limit what I can see, and they're not at all useful to me. Someone had success by changing map from trail maps to street maps, but I really like trail maps, especially since the hybrid was introduced. Can the developers make the buttons an optional setting, perhaps by turning them off in developer options?

I had the same problem today on my Samsung Galaxy 6; Of the 21 caches I logged today, only the last 4 made it to the website. I have notified Groundspeak of the problem and my intense frustration. I have tolerated the perpetual notifications about a new souvenir (while having earned no new souvenirs, and the notice continues to reappear) and the problems with not being able to load lists mentioned elsewhere, but to have 17 logs flat-out disappear in space (while all the smileys show on the app) is vexing.
