My son is trying to earn the geocaching merit badge in boy scouts and got a travel bug to send out on a mission. When he first got it he logged it in under our family account but now he wants to set up his own geocaching account and I was wondering if we could change the owner of the travel bug from our family account to his new account. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thank you for the replies. I guess my question is more "how would you do it?". Personally I don't really know how to use a compass but how would you know where to go once you got out of your car? Is there a way to use the coordinates in conjunction with the compass?

I have a friend who wants to geocache without buying a GPS. Is it possible to do it with just a compass and a map? Is is too difficult to still be enjoyable?
