  1. I really don’t like having to click “Search this Area” every time I move around the map. Only 500 caches at a time? Really?!? For pete’s sake, some power trails would take up the entire total. And I have to purposely look for the 1000 button to only increase it to 1000. I think we alll want to look at more than 1000 caches at a time, especially when planning road trips. Gonna need some maps that show trails as well. The current choices are a good start, but... For me, geocaching is all about the maps. There are some great features with your new maps but I can’t use them for now. Sadly they are just too limiting at this point.
  2. The old search was mildly annoying and occasionally frustrating. This new search is unusable. Everything about is it limiting. I have had to resort to google to search geocaching.com. That is sad. Thankfully I've bookmarked several useful searches (mostly mapped results) that I now have to use to replace the New search. Otherwise, I'd have to exclusively rely on my GPSr searches. This new search is not an option for me; it's simply a broken part of the website that I gain no value from. Additionally, when I map after a search, why am I limited to only the filtered results? This is useful every once in a while, but NOT the majority of time. For example, in the old search, once you moved to the map, you could continue your discovery journey and see what else is interesting in the area you plan to cache in. Now, you hit an invisible barrier with no further caches outside your search criteria (usually distance). Why not provide a link to "Map results" (ie: filters on) and another to "Map all caches" (ie: no filters)? That would be substantially better, no?
  3. I suppose I can use the "Personal cache note" field on the 'work-in-progress' cache page itself, however that requires me zipping in and out of 'Edit Mode' to see what's next on my ToDo list. That'll have to do for now.
  4. It would be handy to have a notes field (ie: To Do list) on my cache creation page before it is submitted for review. It often takes several days for me to create a new cache. It sometimes goes through several changes and I don't always get a chance to complete the listing in one sitting. If there was a field just for me, where I could list reminder items I don't want to forget before I submit it for review, that would be helpful. Things like don't forget to add a geochecker, make sure I include a note to the reviewer that my challenge is supposed to have identical posted and final coordinates, add a waypoint for parking once I get it, etc.
