  1. I have been caching for about 4 years.I am a disabled Veteran and due to health reasons I have not been active the last couple a years. My wife and kids started getting active again so we started putting out caches in our area. We have had some rather hard to find micros and recently put a new one out GC15FWM Kendra's Day Caching With Grandma the first couple a people came and did not find it so on 8-31-07 we went to check on it and found it where we placed it. On 9-1 a cacher (with over 3000 finds) comes along and places their own container at our location and called it a find!? I have never herd of this before. I have made many trips to locations looking for a cache untill I finally find it. BUT I HAVE NEVER HERD OF ANYONE JUST PLACING THEIR OWN CACHE CONTAINER AT A CACHE LOCATION THAT THEY DID NOT OWN SO THEY COULD GET A FTF> Has this happened in your area or to you??? Is this the direction that GEOCACHING is going??? I sure hope not. I am unhappy with some of the changes that have happened in the in the last couple years with GEOCACHING but this too??? WHat do you think?? Post edited for readability

  4. Hello I am fairly new to Geocaching and have purchased and placed some geocoins. Unfortunately someone wanted the coins enough that they took them and kept them. Now what do I do?? Well I saw that there was a grave yard for missing Travel bugs but no appropiate place for Geocoins. So I created the First GeoMugglers GeoCoin Bank as a depository for those lost coins! I hope that others will find comfort as I did in having an appropiate cache to deposit the unfortunately lost Geocoins, with hopes that the GeoMugglers will someday have a change in heart and place the coings in a cache! First Geo Mugglers GeoCoin Bank Or Cache ID GCHQRR Thanks Ed (edited by honeychile to provide correct link and GC#)

  10. LOL this paper is not due until the middle of MAY! I am just one of those women that likes to have it done NOW! I really want this paper to be good because I have to read it to a classroom full of freshman college students--WHAT BETTER WAY TO CREATE INTEREST AND GET YOUNG PEOPLE INTO THE SPORT! obtw I am a 35 yo college freshman too! what will really cinch it is that there is a trad cache on the MWSC campus that I can tell them about
  11. This research paper is to argue the pros and cons of one subject, So it would be the pros and cons of geocaching
  12. I am Dufer's girlfriend---- Loving Linda I am a college student and in an English class this semester I am to write a research paper. I was given a list as long as my arm on subjects NOT to write about. I was told to come up with a new and interesting topic that has never been covered before. Talked to Dufer about it and he suggested geocaching and of course I readily agreed! What an incredible idea! I've found a couple of books that I need to buy to have research material. In my paper Iam to "argue" the positives and negatives of geocaching. My list of positives are three times longer than the negative list. Of course the typical ecosystem, interupting nature blah blah is on the neg list. I love geocaching and am having a hard time getting negatives out of it. Anyone have any other ideas? The book that I have found online that I need to buy is Geocaching: Hiding, Hiking, and High Tech. Are there any other books that I should get that covers caching that well? THANKS LOVING LINDA
  13. EXCUSE ME I AM A WOMAN ENTERING YOUR CONVERSATION I am Dufer's Loving Linda and honestly there is not ANY other place I would rather be than in the woods with Dufer! No TV no phones (accept cells--ya know he DOES own a cell store) no interuptions, just time alone and working together toward a goal. IT'S ALL GOOD! oh by the way here's a hint, buy her her own gps--it's like the tv remote--you guys would hog it all the time if there is only one
