  1. vds, I use a palm zire to do my caching. I wouldn't want to use it as my primary PDA, but for geocaching its great. Apparently its only 50$ after rebate from amazon.com. For that price you can afford to drop it in a lake (or swamp). *And* it syncs over USB.
  2. I don't know how many of you guys on this board are gamers (of the video persuasion). I know that staying inside and playing videogames is possibly a CRIME AGAINST NATURE, but I figure if you have any sport involving high-tech stuff there have to be at least *some* closet gamers. ANYWAY Here is your chance to help some sick kids and raise public perception of gamers (from www.penny-arcade.com): Check out the wishlist here. They have already been incredibly successful, raising over 8k$ in toys and donations. So if you feel like it, do your part and help some kids!
  3. Also in the "People who bought this book also bought: " list is a book by Tom Brown. Has anyone read anything by this guy? I read The Way of the Scout a while back. Pretty sweet book. It made me want to be a stealthy ninja !
  4. Who brings a stapler into the woods? Is that like standard issue for a "Law Enforcement Officer with the U.S. Department of the Interior U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Office?"
  5. I have always loved the stuffed beanie Cthulhu. Can I also say: "HP Lovecraft forever and ever?" BTW, The Colour Out of Space is the best Lovecraft in my opinion. Although the Cthulhu has a whole mythos associated with it.
  6. +1 good idea. I know that the *other* gc site has similar icons: . Although I think, that particular icon is more "Are pets allowed" rather than "Is this cache feasible with a dog." I think the later would be really helpful as the last cache I did with my dog (the second of two, I'm new at this ) the undergrowth/bramble was so think I had to pick him up and cary him to the cache. Twas ok 'cause he is just a pup, but when he gets bigger... So yes, +1 good idea.
  7. Just started gc'n couple weeks ago. But for what its worth: Eagle Scout '99 OA: Brotherhood 2 Philmont Treks The cool thing about the Philmont treks is my dad wen in the 60's and then I went in the 90's and then we both went together also in the 90's. Tons of fun.
